Mixed bag

Below was sent to host. Response was too long to fit here but it basically said that nearly all the items below were user error! Your message to the host I wanted to let you know about several issues with the house: 1. Microwave broken - which you already know - spent a ton of time trying to deal with this to cook dinner the first night. 2. Ice Maker never stops making ice. Multiple times opened freezer drawer and ice spilled all over and freezer couldn't close without cleaning up the ice. 3. Shower in common bath didn't drain - people were showering with water up to their ankles.... 4. No pot holders - if there is an oven, there need to be potholders. 5. No towel rods or hooks in the bathrooms - had to hang on hangers in closets - not convenient if you forget to bring towel back into bathroom when you shower. 6. Bedroom with pocket door - door off track and difficult to open/close 7. Back broken on sectional in living room. 8. 1 of 3 burners on grill did not work. The place was clean, which is a big plus, but having this many problems definitely reduced the enjoyment of our vacation. And, to essentially be told the problems were our fault is unacceptable.

Attentive host made our stay a good one!

It felt like old times before Covid... GOOD customer service! The host was responsive and helpful with the few requests we had. One of the best parts (better than usual rental properties) was that we were not asked to clean the place!! Other properties we have stayed at have lengthy check out "procedures" (take out trash, strip the sheets, start the dishes, etc.) and this house said to just lock up the property and the rest would be taken care of!! I also appreciated the bath towels AND beach towels that were provided for our use. We had 5 adults, 2 teens and 3 kids (ages 3-8) staying there. It was roomy enough. The master bedroom has a closet that has space for a pack n play (not currently one that we saw at the house, but just fyi). I was happy with the stay! Thank you!
