Come fish the Columbia River in Rufus. Enjoy a stylish experience that is centrally-located . Completely remodeled duplex. Walking distance to restaurants, a bar, and bait and tackle shop. Easy access to Columbia River, John Day River and Deschutes River boat launches. Washer and dryer in unit. Vacuum sealer and bags provided. Boot dryer in unit. Ample parking for up to 3 boats and up to 5 vehicles. Access to outside power to plug in boat motors. Outside water faucet for washing your boat out and covered car parking. Exceptional waterfowl and upland game hunting close by.
Entire unit with all appliances including washer and dryer. All businesses within walking distance. Safe off street parking. Lots of boat parking. 2 bedrooms can sleep up to 6. extra cots for sleeping as well as the couch and recliners.

This property is nice and clean with all the essentials. We appreciate the pet friendly aspect as we travel with our dog. We have been there now for two years in a row to attend my family reunion nearby and it has suited our needs perfectly. It is a nice quiet place to rest. Thank you.

Perfectly Appointed

We had a wonderful stay. The place was one of the best appointed I have been to: pots and pans (complete sets), nice assortment of spices in a comfortable kitchen. The beds were super comfortable, as were the plush towels. We’ll be back for sure, thank you Wendy!

The place was an excellent condition, very clean, a nice place. Rufus, however, is just a good fishing destination not much of a town. But if you’re going to Rufus or nearby, I recommend the place.

The house was spotless upon arrival. The A/C was running when we arrived and it was a comfortable temperature inside despite being a dry, hot summer day. The sleeping arrangements were not what we expected, but it worked out fine for the 3 of us (2 adults and a toddler). We were traveling for an event in a nearby town and just needed a place to stay for a few days - the house worked out perfectly for that, and we'd be happy to stay there again if we're ever in the area.

Great place to stay!

Though we weren’t in Rufus for the fishing, this place worked out so great for us! We were in town visiting family that was camping at Maryhill State Park and it was a quick jaunt up 84 to the campground. We were super impressed with the thoughtfulness of the vrbo, from the bag sealer to the games to the bag of ice in freezer and everything else in between! It had it all! Communication with the host was also excellent! Would 100% stay there again.

Relaxing in Rufus

The home was absolutely spotless and included everything which we could have wanted. The kitchen was exceedingly well-equipped and the bathroom included lots of small niceties, including soft and fluffy towels. Wendy has put a great deal of thought and effort in making sure that guests have everything they need and that they feel 100% welcome. Rufus is conveniently located 45 minutes East of the Hood River / White Salmon area, and near to the Maryhill Museum of Art. We look forward to visiting again.

Fishing, Cider Festival, and Wineries!

The house was in a perfect location for our group and had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. The host was fast to reply to all of our communication. My boat landed in the shop just days before the trip, but I can say the parking area was plenty big to accommodate large rigs with access to electricity. We found plenty of activities to keep us entertained in and around Rufus even without the boat. I’d highly recommend this property!

It was perfect for the 3 of us with plenty of parking for boat and trucks. Everything we needed was there as described for us. Of course..we had a problem with unlocking the door but this is not uncommon for us. But Wendy was right there within minutes to help us out..Thank you Wendy!!We would recommend this property for anyone wanting to fish and of course Mary Hill Winery was fun to explore as well

Family Reunion trip

The listing was accurate. The location was close to where we were having our family reunion at Mary Hill State Park. I was looking for a place that my elderly father would be comfortable when he needed to rest in this place hit the nail on the head. Not very many places have reclining furniture and this was perfect for my dad who cannot sleep in a bed currently.The neighborhood was quiet, we were really only at the unit in the morning and at night when it was time to rest, but we had no problem sleeping comfortably.

To shower or not to shower. 😂

We didn’t know there was a bed in the boiler laundry room. The place was nice and clean. The kitchen had everything needed for a meal. We couldn’t figure out how the shower head turns on. Had to look the faucet type in Google. lol pretty interesting idea.

Overall, this is a very good place. It is what it advertises to be, a fishing and hunters cabin. We selected the place because we would be traveling with a pet (dog) and it is pet friendly. We were attending a family reunion at an RV park across the river and initially it was for myself and my partner, but because it sleeps "6", we invited my elderly father and his wife to stay with us so they didn't need to try and camp or find another place to stay. In this situation, only having the one bathroom wasn't ideal. We certainly made it work, but in our circumstance, it was a bit crowded. We did really appreciate the well equipped kitchen, it has everything you need and more!The air conditioning was very welcome and it kept the smoke out from a nearby fire. Thank you, for an overall nice stay.

Very clean, up-to-date resting spot. Lots of extras—coffee bar, toothbrush and toothpaste, make-up removal, spices, etc. Kitchen included all the necessities to prepare any meal. Lots of extra towels, TP, and paper towels. Short drive to dog park for the pups. Host was easy to contact and thorough. Great restaurant just across the road. Road noise from I84, but probably won’t bother most (we live in country and have no road noise, so it did keep us up some). Highly recommend for anyone looking to stay in this area.
