The space:
This is a 1 bedroom new construction, designer built home in 2022 with a lot of character and charm. This is my home and sanctuary space that I rent out to folks while I'm traveling for work. The home is inspired by dutch design aspects with the kitchen situated at the front of the home as you enter. There is an electric standing work desk in the main living area next to the kitchen cabinets, a 6 person table, and a living room area with a 63" TV (Netflix, Hulu, HBO Max, etc). In the separate bedroom, you will find a king size bed, 36" TV, dresser, work desk, and large walk-in closet. The living room and bedroom have doors that lead out onto the deck where you can relax and enjoy your morning coffee. There is a large fenced in backyard to enjoy on cool fall evenings. There is also a utility closet with a washer/dryer. I'm still in the process of adding some outdoor furniture and a firepit which I will be doing upon my return from my travels in the winter. LGBTQ+ friendly. Please note: the I-10 interstate is a few blocks away so you will hear some car noise in the distance during peak traffic hours which is common to hear in this part of the city due to the interstate being built thru a neighborhood back in the 1950s and 60s.

The Neighborhood:
The historic south 7th ward is a quiet, intergenerational, mixed class neighborhood. The neighborhood still has abandoned homes that the city owns post-Katrina and some empty lots that are being built on right now. It's an evolving, safe neighborhood with many locals and artists and transplants. I've lived in this neighborhood for 8 years and enjoyed the quietness while also having easy access to all the lively spots this area has to offer.

It's conveniently located in a very accessible location to all the famous and trendy spots downtown New Orleans offers. You can pretty much get anywhere in 5-15 minutes.
