Great place! Great host! Perfect distance from the Winman trails. It’s going to be my yearly spot when I go out for the Winman Onewheel races. 5/5

The host communication was helpful. Easy to check in and out. The room is in a historic small hotel. Everything was very clean, and it has a beautiful view of the lake. The snowmobile trails were right across the road which gave plenty of options for places to go. Gas stations and restaurant options were a few miles away. We would definitely stay again.

Nice motel

Super clean with a well equipped kitchen. The new bathroom was a nice surprise. The electronic door lock was a pain and did not work properly. Overall a very nice stay!

VINTAGE MEETS MODERN IN UP NORTH ESCAPE

New owners kept the charm and brought this classic getaway motel up to 2022 with new cabinets, all appliances and even a small furnace tucked away in the closet. We stayed at the Feller - a small studio type room with a delightful view of the lake (South Turtle in Vilas County). We had full use of the dock and grounds. My husband and I enjoyed many hours enjoying the view, which included a family of loons who came to fish for minnows not far from our dock. A truly delightful stay. Thank you to the new owners!

Modern amenities • vintage design - 5 Stars!

Loved every minute of the kitchenette spaces. From the retro chic decor to the updated, modern bathrooms, our kitchenette had everything we needed. The lake views here are breathtaking. 30 steps out of your room’s back door and you’re looking at a the pier, fog rolling off the lake, and loons diving for their first meal. I can’t wait to share this hidden gem with my friends and family. Cheers!

I had a wonderful solo stay in The Feller. The cottage was clean and had a charming retro-modern vibe that felt cozy and comfortable. Beds were comfortable, plenty of hot water in a sizable shower, nice and ample linnens, and there was a fan in the room. I also appreciated having a hand vac in the room as my stay was long enough to warrant some self-cleaning.The WiFi and nature were both strong. I was able to work remotely with no issues, as I enjoyed the breeze and sounds from the back screen door facing the lake. I saw hummingbirds, eagles, and otters in my many paddleboard excursions. Many pontoon boats go straight to see the giant eagles nest in one of the big pines almost directly across from the dock view. People were friendly (once I fell off my board and couldn’t get back on, a friendly boater stopped to assist me). I enjoyed many early mornings and evenings with coffee and reading in the dock-attached chairs (they rock and spin!). Sunsets were amazing. Close to small towns to fetch groceries, post office, shops or restaurants. Nearby is Grassy Creek Ranch where the horses are happy and well cared for. You can book a walk-trot trail ride where you venture into the lake for pictures. South Turtle Lake connects to North Turtle Lake through a small road tunnel easily accessible by canoe, with several small Islands to explore. North Turtle Lake also has a shallow sandbar in the middle. There is no air conditioning, so plan accordingly as nights can be warm.

Cozy Lakeside Gem

Absolutely love the mid-century/Scandi motif throughout the property. It's a vintage up north feel with the luxury of updated bathrooms and kitchenette. Everything was extremely clean upon arrival, the beds were very comfy and our sleeps were incredibly peaceful as we kept the windows open with the cool lake air flowing in at night. The location and views of South Turtle Lake from this property are unbeatable, especially when catching a sunset.
