Step away from your busy schedule and relax at this tranquil, one of a kind hand crafted “Cabin In The Woods.” Front porch sitting at its finest! Circle drive with ample boat parking space. Fenced yard for our fur guests with pet fee. Enjoy fun filled lake days and fire pit evenings. Lake view during Winter/Spring stays. The cabin is approximately 700 square feet and includes a full eat-in kitchen, private bathroom and combination living and bedroom area.
This hand crafted cabin is full of rustic character and charm created by craftsman Bob Cawthorne, a carpenter and Navy veteran, with a dream of building his ‘Cabin In The Woods.’

Carlisle Cove lake access only 2.7 miles away. The Deck and Cookson Marina 4.6 miles and Sixshooter Marina 7.3 miles. Illinois River floating approximately 30 miles.

Cozy Cabin

We thoroughly enjoyed our time relaxing in Bob’s Cabin. It was a very enjoyable vacation, the atmosphere was cozy and peaceful with very hospitable hosts.

Extended stay

Traveling through the area and found this gem. It was so peaceful and relaxing and a very beautiful area! The cabin was everything we needed and the host were amazing to work with. Would highly recommend!!!

Love the Location, peaceful & quiet

Very rustic, accommodations were fantastic, the dove chocolates & bag were awesome, met tiki, a beautiful well mannered dog. We enjoyed feeding, she was a joy. Price was very reasonable, thank you for making it possible for us. A very nice stay! Can’t wait to come back again. Ron T.

Bob's Cabin in the Woods

Everything about this place was phenomenal...Peaceful, quiet, and relaxing..... And our host was just as awesome with communication and we loved reading about the history of Bob and the cabin...Sitting on the porch swing with the wife, drinking coffee, and petting Tiki, Bob's yellow lab... It just don't get any better....We will definitely be returning for another relaxing visit....
