Fantastic stay! The owners were incredibly responsive to any questions or concerns, ensuring everything was smooth and enjoyable. We love hosts like these—they truly make all the difference!
We enjoyed our stay— close to La Grande and Union is a quiet and relaxing place to visit. Beds were comfy, nice open design made “hanging out” fun and didn’t feel cramped at all with 5 adults. Definitely would recommend. Owners seemed very nice, too.

Just like home!
My husband and I have stayed several times and each time have found the innkeepers to be accommodating and friendly. The area is very spacious and no chance of feeling cramped or crowded. There are two things important to me when staying at a hotel or inn. The bed must be comfortable and the towels fluffy. I wasn't let down! We look forward to staying again real soon!

Thank you! You two are our favorite guests! We look forward to having you back.
They looked out for us and let us in when we locked ourselves out. They also wanted to make sure we had enough money when we told them I lost my debit card - we still had my husbands, but they offered anyway.
Everything was good but the Oder from the alley was bad inside. I purchased plug ins to. Try and help with the Oder. Maybe I’m more sensitive to cat per.
My husband and I booked this loft because of its location near family living nearby in La Grande and it’s pet friendly set up for our darling miniature schnauzer. Due to a family emergency out of state my husband had to attend to, I ended up going alone with our dog. I was welcomed with a lovely, warm, and clean home. I was a bit apprehensive about staying by myself downtown, yet soon felt at ease due to the friendliness of the homeowners who also live in the historic building. The kitchen is well stocked and inviting. A good spot to invite family over for coffee cozied up next to the fireplace, and overall a nice atmosphere for relaxation. Beautiful natural light and a lovely pee pee spot to take our dog across the side alley. (Gated secret garden with fountain ⛲️.) I felt comfortable, warm, and safe. We’ll certainly be booking here again in the future. Extra plus- Washer & Dryer in the restroom. Thank you Mindy and Dave!
Staying at this property couldn’t have been better . 5 friends , 5 days making memories in Eastern Oregon . Centrally located to our hunting grounds . We were welcomed with open arms , the back yard area was nice to soak in the sun and relax .
Wonderful place to stay enjoyed making my morning coffee and sitting on front steps of building and watching traffic go by. Only thing that I would suggest is having a screen door so you can get some fresh air in the morning and evening.
We have stayed at Dave and Mindy's property many times and they are always so kind and so accommodating. When we arrived, the window AC unit wasn't working (even though it was earlier in the day) and they were instantly on it and had it fixed so fast. They were more worried about our comfort than we were! We sure love staying here and will do it again!
We were really happy with the location of the property and also pleasantly surprised by the size of the unit. This is a very adorable apartment with a nice and open floor plan.
Fun industrial bits left from the building history... something wonderful for sure. We had everything we needed in the kitchen, linens and space was more than expected! The tall ceilings, the garden across the way ( want to have an event there someday), and friendly check in's with the owner made the overall experience great.
The Loft was such a great alternative to finding a hotel to stay in with my family of 7. Plenty of space for everyone with all the amenities you need.
Plus, the hosts were fantastic. We were able to check-in without contact, but when the wifi wasn't working, I just texted the host and she called me immediately and made sure it got fixed right away and then proceeded to answer all my questions about the area and the building. She was very delightful.
The owners/managers were great! They were accommodating and quick to respond. I locked the house and car keys in the property while my car was running and they were there to open it almost instantly! The property was bigger than I envisioned. It had a/c which is hard to find in Eastern Oregon. It was clean and kitchen was stocked well with what you would need to dine and/or cook. We only used the microwave, sink, and fridge. Wifi worked perfectly as did the TV. Beds were firm and comfortable. Because it is a loft and open bedroom situation it is great for families. It was a little tricky to keep it quiet and dark for our baby, but it worked! Would recommend and will stay again.
This property rates at the very top. We have stayed at a lot of VRBO's in multiple ststes and we absolutely loved this one. It was very spacious, the kitchen was fully equipped to make meals, it was clean, affordable and centrally located for exploring hot springs in the area. We LOVED IT!
We are on-site owners so can provide any assistance that you need. We moved here from the Portland area several years ago and cannot even imagine living anywhere else. We love the fresh air, good water, friendly people and amazing scenery.
Why they chose this property
We moved to Union several years ago and bought one of the historic buildings in town. Part of the building was one of the original banks and the rest of the building was added later. It was the Chevrolet dealership for decades, a grocery store, community center, and restaurant later. The back portion of the building was reconfigured in recent years into beautiful loft apartments, one of which we make available as a vacation rental.
