My Son and two of his friends were interested in attending MIchigan Tech and touring the campus. Perfect location beautiful home. Loved the stay. Thank you!
This place was absolutely incredible, out in the country, private setting, and the deer come right up to the porch, or you can see them in the forest. Next to you can see the lake from inside and they leave binoculars in there for you to look at the lake . We saw a bug eagle from a many dears. It was awesome .. It's only a few minutes from the lake period very comfy, a lot of room and we will definitely be back
Came up with my son and his two friends who are thinking about attending Michigan Tech. Was a beautiful place to stay and close to the college also went to Mt Bohemia to the Nordic Spa. Highly recommend. Everything we needed to cook and be comfortable during a snowstorm.
The house fit our group perfectly we were there to snowmobile so we hardly were at the cabin. The kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms were basic but very roomy and comfy. They had extra blankets for us. The grill and washing machines were a nice plus also. Over for any outdoor enthusiasts i highly recommend. I will definitely be back.
It is clean, spacious, comfortable, and beautiful views. From the entry way to the laundry room we had everything we needed to be satisfied and thrilled at Robins Nest. Good communication with the hosts too. Our visit was to ski Mt Bohemia by day and then good dining at a local restaurant in Mohawk. We will gladly return to this property. Thank you.
Very clean and well stocked property. Nice location and very secluded for complete privacy.Nice lake view in the distance and convenient location to explore the UP.
Words will not do this property justice! It was just what we needed! Peaceful, the view, the campfire, relaxtion, truly incredible! Home away from home, but better! Can't wait to stay again!
We absolutely loved staying at Robin’s Nest! Plenty of space for us, spotless, and spectacular views. Would highly recommended this spot for anyone looking to explore the whole peninsula. We couldn’t have made a better choice!
This charming home in the heart of Michigan's Upper Peninsula is an absolute gem! It offers the perfect blend of modern comfort and peaceful seclusion. The interior is cozy and thoughtfully decorated—the desk near the entrance is especially fun. The backyard has a fire pit that is perfect for a cozy evening under the stars. The hosts were welcoming, gave clear instructions, and were overall fantastic . If you’re seeking a tranquil escape surrounded by the beauty of the U.P., then this cabin is a must-see!
The Robin’s Nest was everything my husband, dog & I needed for our 3 night NYE getaway. The house was very comfortable and warm after long days hiking and exploring. It was a bonus the interior was decorated for Christmas - with a tree and all! There is plenty of privacy and space inside and out! We enjoyed walking the trails around the house each morning and searching the lake for freighters. The location was perfect allowing us to explore Copper Harbor or Houghton. Misty & Jason were very proactive and responsive hosts. They offered many recommendations of things to do, restaurants, etc. We hope to visit again soon to experience the Keweenaw during the summer or fall seasons.
Wonderful location and view. House was very nice and plenty big enough for all of us. The kids loved that they all had their own beds and room. We will most definately choose this house again on our next trip up to the UP. Thank you very much for our home away from home.
This was a perfect home for my sons wheelchair to maneuver thru and big enough for my our family to visit us while we were there. I can't wait to come back and make lots memories with my human angel son and my grankids!
Sometimes the pics are better than the actual place but this was just the opposite. Lots of room for 6 people and 2 dogs. It was very quiet and peaceful withh lots of room for the dogs to run around and a great view of Lake Superior. Calling out was a little spotty at times but overall it was a great place at a great price
This place was perfect for our families! Tons of space, very quiet setting and a great view of Lake Superior! Robin’s Nest is very well-stocked with everything needed to prepare and serve meals, plenty of extra towels, and anything needed for a home away from home. The house was decorated for the holidays so it was nice to sit by the lighted tree in the evenings. We would definitely stay again! Only regret was that we didn’t have an extra day!!
My husband and two adult sons stayed a couple of nights in this very spacious clean house with an amazing view. The photos don't do it justice. We loved every part of our stay. The location was perfect for us. My son saw a porcupine in the backyard. We loved the big back deck, the gas grill, and open concept space for family time in the living room and dining room. The weather did not cooperate for our short stay to take advantage of the firepit. My only regret was that we didn't stay longer. We plan on returning to this area and we will definitely try to stay here again.
Stunning views from this comfortable & well-equipped property. Excellent communication from the management. Our only wish was that we could've checked in a little earlier, but understand that that's not always possible. GREAT secluded outside yard area as well, which would be wonderful for all seasons. My girls had a great time sledding down the hill. Also, not too far from anything in the area. Would definitely stay again and/or recommend to others! Loved it ~ THANK YOU!
Everything about our stay was a dream-from the communication with Misty and Jason, to the gorgeous and spacious rental, to it's perfect location relative to all the sights and activities the Keweenaw has to offer. By far the best stay of our trip, we especially appreciated the lush and beautiful surroundings. It was a perfect site to take walks, have a fire, or just gaze out at long range views of the lake. The house was perfectly stocked and immaculately clean. There were books on local subjects and binoculars to spot the plentiful local birds. The location allowed us to spend our days in Calumet, Houghton, and Copper Harbor, without ever having to drive too far. We were a family with my sister's two dogs, and we could not have had a better base for our Keweenaw vacation. But the house would be perfect for a couple or a larger group. Can't recommend highly enough!!!
