About this property
On Jonathan Creek! Family Oriented! Hot Tub! Small Dogs ok
Gentry's Rest Stop-2 is your one-stop vacation playground! HOT TUB is secluded! With great motorcycle access, this air-conditioned cabin is the perfect complement to Gentry's Rest Stop-1, the 'Big House' also located on the same property. This cabin is newly remodeled and is a natural for any overflow from the 12 occupancy larger home that can be rented for large family reunions or shared vacations, yet intimate enough for two. The master bedroom has a king size bed. Bedroom #2 bedroom has unique bunk beds; the upper mattress is a twin size, and the lower one is an actual full-size mattress. There is a queen bed in the den/guest area. GRS-2 is also pet friendly! Everything's included in the kitchen and the cabin overlooks a wonderful bubbling creek that will lull you to sleep at night; restful to sit to by day. Outdoors there is a firepit, picnic table, grill and Jonathan Creek is right in the backyard! Very easy access year round. Guests have horseback riding, snow skiing and both water & snow tubing in town.
Sleeps 4 adults and 2 children
Dogs Allowed with Prior Approval - DOGS ONLY (limit 2) 35-40 lbs.
WANT TO KNOW MORE?: Gentry's Rest Stop-2 is professionally decorated by the owner, a well known interior designer, in a charming country décor and the outside has also been lovingly tended for picture-taking for your memory books. Four-season and holiday decorations contribute to the coziness of the home and children love to view some of the local wildlife close up that is part of the area. Gentry's have their own 'resident' elk, aptly named Bullwinkle, who actually comes to visit occasionally and loves to pose for pictures! Raccoon and squirrels scoot among the trees as well as hummingbirds, butterflies and fireflies at night. Guests are well taken care of as the Gentry's live on-site and are available to supply your every need should one arise. The Gentry's are mindful of your seclusion and separateness and you can be assured your privacy is guaranteed. There's plenty of parking for vehicles and if you want to trailer your motorcycle or ATV, there is more than enough room for turn-arounds on the gravel driveway. Easy access all year and ATV and motorcycle enthusiasts will find many trails to explore.
WHAT'S THERE TO DO?: Nearby attractions include the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Blue Ridge Parkway with miles of never-ending views of the beautiful mountains and valleys; Great Smoky Mountain Railroad in Dillsboro, Biltmore Estate with its winery and garden tours, hiking, shopping, antiquing, whitewater rafting, tubing (both water and snow), horseback riding and of course eating at the many restaurants around the area. Only about 30 minutes away is Cherokee where you will find Harrah's Casino, and find an authentic pair of moccasins or other Native American gifts for that special person. Visit Cataloochee Valley where you can get up close and personal with the elk that were reintroduced to our area. Fontana Lake is about 45 minutes away where you can rent paddle boats or go fishing and swim in the cool mountain waters. Golfing is quite close for you duffers and horseback riding is a sure bet to enjoy fall foliage in autumn. Maggie Valley's very own Ghost Town in the Sky is now reopened and features a new ZIPLINE for you thrill-seekers! Dollywood, Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge are about an hour away.

The Gentry's have been renting out their beautiful properties for many years and have loads of experience at how to make people feel like one of the family. They are very sensitive to your needs and provide everything they can to ensure your time spent in the mountains is memorable. Their little dog 'Lucy' is a familiar site to all their return friends and welcomes you as you pull into the driveway. When it's time for you to leave the mountains, you'll also leave a little piece of your heart with the Gentry's... your friends.
