"'Saltair" is fully furnished with one bedroom (two twin beds), a complete kitchen and a sunset across the water. It is filled with charm, history and antiques. There is parking on the property. The library and renowned Shalin Liu Theater are a five minute walk. It is a 7-10 minute walk to three beaches. The Commuter Rail and grocery story are a 15-minute walk. Every place you walk, bike or drive is bursting with natural beauty and quaintness. NOTE: the living room and bathroom floors in this funky cottage slant, so bring your sea legs :)

Saltair has every convenience you might want. It's in a peaceful spot, with a view of the bay. Yet, just around the corner are Bearskin Neck's shops and restaurants. Beaches and a beautiful park are in easy walking distance.
What an amazing and eclectic cottage by the sea. It was just perfect!

Thank you, Traci.
I am guessing you may be an educator focusing on the well being of the whole child. I am a retired school.social worker. Teaching children and youth is life's most important calling.
Adorable little cottage right on the water, no better place to relax - unwind and stroll Rockport, our car barely ever moved. Wake up each day to a view of the water and let your self unwind, couldn’t have been better. Owners have been terrific in setting up our stay, highly recommended!
This rustic cottage is in a quiet and peaceful part of Bearskin Neck with views of spectacular sunsets. The neighbors are friendly and gracious. Anything one might need is within a very short walk.

Thanks, Jane. I was delighted to have you and Sarah stay at Saltair. The neighbors commented on how wonderful you were too! I am glad you enjoyed your time there.
I hope you got my message to you after you departed. I appreciate how clean you left everything.
I have requested your deposit be returned. Please let me know if Vrbo does not do that soon.
Take care,
Carol
Ideally located for a walking vacation, and yet far enough off the main drag to be quiet and private. An utterly adorable place that just took us both back in time to childhood (60’s couple here), Saltair is awash in character and quirks, we couldn’t have enjoyed it more and hope to be back soon !
Had everything we needed and more while letting us unwind and relax.

Michael and Wanda were perfect renters. They were very personable, relaxed, communicated clearly, and ready to enjoy their stay. I hope to rent to them again.
Location, location, location! This charming antique cottage overlooks the water. The cottage is on Bear Skin Neck. The shops, restaurants, art museum, etc are all within walking distance. I enjoyed sitting on the beautiful deck reading my book. The cottage was very clean and had everything I could want. I would highly recommend this property. I would stay at Saltair again if I go back to Rockport.

A place for relaxing
The owners were excellent to work with. The cottage was as described. It is quaint and vintage. A wonderful relaxing place. The ocean views are spectacular. The kitchen is well supplied. The area is filled with great little shops, restaurants, and other interesting activities. I hope to revisit the cottage soon.
Carol was a great host. Everything we needed was in the cottage and the location is perfect. The historical items and books in the cottage added to the ambiance and experience. I highly recommend the whale watching trip and plan on at least a day to explore bearskin neck. The twin beds are thin and there's plywood between the mattress and box spring. It was like getting onto a stone slab, BUT, I slept well and was not sore in the morning so then there's that! There's room for an air mattress or two if needed. I highly recommend.
Celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary, this quirky cabin by the shore placed us in the perfect spot. The view is spectacular, the house is well appointed, well loved, and it's history is well preserved. The floor slants, but as long as you're sure-footed, it doesn't cause any unnecessary hardship, it just adds to the ambiance. Having everything we wanted within short walking distance made this trip an easy success. We loved every minute of our time here and will return soon!

Stephen and Heather were perfect renters. The communication was easy, personable, and reliable. . They were impeccably clean. I was delighted to have them rent our much loved and "quirky" cottage.
My mother and I had a wonderful stay at Saltair. The views from the porch are outstanding. Its a great place to start & end your day. The house is quirky but i like the charm of an older home. It is neat, clean, and is equipped with everything you need for your stay. The hosts are very nice and respond promptly to any questions/concerns you have. The neighbors are are all very friendly. There are two off-street parking spots which are fantastic for that location. The location is fantastic. Its a short walk to restaurants, shops, the beach, theater, etc.
I would recommend this home to any friends and family.

Thank you for the kind words about our fun, quirky cottage. You were wonderful renters who left everthing in great shape.
Quaint, historic cottage with water view from deck or breakfast table. Owner and neighbors very friendly and helpful. Very close to shops and classic views of the harbor, bay, and ocean.
We loved our stay and are already looking forward to returning.
Great one-of-a-kind cottage in a great, quaint town. Private, yet walking distance to everything. Breathtaking views and sunsets. Comfortably quirky. We'll be back!
I spent a delightful week in this sweet cottage on Bearskin Neck. As mentioned in the listing, it has its peculiarities, but it also has a beautiful setting and the best-equipped kitchen I've ever encountered in a vacation rental. Nicely laid out, excellent Wi-Fi, and very quiet despite being right in the middle of things.
A charming cottage in a perfect location. It was well stocked with all the essentials. The large picture window overlooking the harbor was picture perfect. We so enjoyed our stay and it was so relaxing.
This cottage is a dream with its great location and view. Though only 2 streets away from Bearskin Neck's main street, it is peaceful. You could spend the entire time sitting inside at the table or out on the deck, both with an ocean view. It is quaint and the living room floor does slant towards the ocean which is where I want to be anyway. Lots of thoughtful little things like kleenex boxes, waste paper baskets, mirrors, toiletries, all kinds of kitchen supplies, and a CD player. Bedroom has heavy drapes to keep out the morning light. I really hope to come back again and again.
We loved 'Saltair' for its comfort, charm, and location -- a real ocean getaway, peaceful and quiet yet convenient to everything.

Nancy and her husband were wonderful renters. They enjoyed our funky, homey cottage, left everything spotless, and followed all my requests. It was a pleasure to have them at "Saltair."
The Saltair is charming, clean and comfortable and in a superb location. Watching the lobster boat from the front window was a treat! Carol went above and beyond from my first interaction with her to make our trip wonderful. Will definitely be back to Saltair- wish we could have stayed forever!

Absolutely wonderful place!
The most charming cottage I've ever seen, in a perfect location. The view from the back porch is amazing, the kitchen has everything you might possibly want, and everything was clean and in good condition. I got used to the tilted floors in a day or so, they weren't really a big deal at. Will definitely stay here again if I'm ever in the area!

This lovely old cottage will stay in your heart and mind forever once you've stayed there.
I loved every moment there, and would love to go back sometime.. beautiful sunrise/sunsets .. coffee in the early morning on the deck, where we spent most of our time.
You have to experience it first hand to really appreciate everything about the cabin, the area.
Shops are just a short walking distance from the cottage, or a short drive ..something for everyone..
