This mountain lodge home is a wonderful getaway retreat to make memories with friends and family, thoughtful details throughout. Enter the home from a stacked stone front porch to the double-height foyer. The foyer has beautiful skylights, half bath and entry to the large butlers pantry (perfect for keeping supplies).
- Living Space -
This Lodge-Style mountain home has wood clad walls (with uplit lighting), cozy stacked stone fireplace (with flat screen TV) and comfortable seating to relax and enjoy the view or a game. The living room is lined with a wall of windows to capture the breathtaking views and an inviting sitting nook..perfect for reading or taking in nature (impressive, yet cozy). A second living space with TV is off the foyer and is a great spot to gather with a small group. Comfortable seating and grill on the large main level deck offer million dollar views. It is a rare opportunity to grill with views like these.
- Kitchen & Dining -
This home has two beautiful dining areas. The first dining space is off the foyer (seats 8). The second space is off the kitchen (seats 6-8) and what a view! The adjacent open kitchen offers counter seating (for 4), great for a snack or keeping company with the chefs. The kitchen is large and well-appointed to prepare a meal, glass of wine or a cup of coffee. A stylish wine fridge keeps beverages at the perfect temperature all through the day. A large butlers pantry off the kitchen offer space for storage. The outdoor deck has dining for 8 with views to remember all year.
- Beds & Bathrooms -
On the main level, the spacious primary bedroom (king) has an attached bathroom, as well as a private outdoor porch with seating and an attached room with glass walls ideal as an office or for yoga. On the terrace level, the second bedroom (queen) has an attached bathroom and has access to the lower porch. The third bedroom (king) has a private fireplace, shares a hall bathroom and has access to the porch. The private porch runs between the two bedrooms. The fourth bedroom shares a hall bathroom and, like the other bedrooms, has a stunning view. Each bedroom has a TV.

THE AREA:
Big Canoe is an 8,000-acre wildlife gated community in the hardwood forest of the Blue Ridge Mountains just north of Atlanta, offering over twenty-four miles of maintained hiking trails and plenty of wildlife including deer, black bears, and turkey. With seven mountains and five lakes, the community has a beautiful backdrop for its three championship golf courses, fourteen tennis courts, three swimming pools (one Big indoor), swimming lake (with beach, paddle boats, canoes, & paddle boards), stunning mountain lake (with marina, fishing & rental pontoon boats) and first class wellness center and basketball court. As a renter, you have access to all of the Big Canoe amenities paid directly for each amenity. I'm sorry, but we do not offer any passes with the rental. We are more than happy to offer our recommendations about the local area and answer any questions you have about the home or the community. OCCUPANCY:
This unit allows 8 overnight guests. Feel free to have guests over, however, in compliance with the city regulations, there cannot be more than 8 people overnight in the unit at any given time. Over occupancy may result in eviction.
RESORT-LIKE AMENITIES:
We have 3 golf courses, 5 lakes, hiking trails, a wellness center, yoga, indoor & outdoor pools, sauna, saline whirlpool, tennis & pickleball courts, bocce courts, Jeep Trail, dog park, beach, water slide.
PARKING:
Parking for several vehicles is available in front of the home. There is a drive thru driveway in front of the house and additional parking in front of the garage. The home also has a 2 car garage.
**CLEANING PROTOCOLS** A housekeeping fee will be included on all reservations. This fee will vary in price based on the size of the property. The house is professionally cleaned prior to your arrival. Please inspect it at check in and call housekeeping at in the event something is unsatisfactory. As we will send housekeeping back to the property to re-clean the reported areas, no refunds will be given for housekeeping issues. There is no fee within the first 24 hours to return and address the issue. All cleaning is done by professionals who use advanced cleaning practices and disinfectants. We maintain excellent cleaning standards and pay above the living wage standards; 100% of your cleaning fee is paid to the cleaners (i.e. no profit to us) and we insist on a professional level of cleaning between guests, with photos of each room to ensure clean is up to highest standards. We fight fabricated claims for discounts with our extensive documentation on the house and post names to web for the protection of other hosts. :-) This beautiful home is not pet friendly. :-)

COFFEEMAKERS:
This home has both a Keurig and drip coffee maker.
GATHERINGS:
We know you are coming to Big Canoe to have a good time, but out of respect to the other tenants and neighbors, this property has a strict "No Party" policy.
QUIET HOURS:
Quiet hours are from 10pm to 8am. Guests are responsible for the conduct of all persons in their unit.
SMOKING:
Smoking of any kind is not allowed in the unit. There will be a minimum $250 penalty fee if it is determined that there was smoking in your apartment during your reservation period.
MINIMUM AGE:
Guests named on the reservation must be 30 years or older. By booking a reservation, you represent and warrant that you are 30 or older. The name on the reservation must be present at check-in and throughout the duration of the stay.
CANCELLATIONS:
Cancellation charges are as follows: rental payments are fully refundable until 14 days prior to the reservation arrival date (less credit card fees). If 8-13 days prior to the reservation, 1/2 the total rent and tax can be refunded. Less than 7 days: cleaning and pet fees can be refunded. We will do our best to work with each guest. We have many repeat guests so we try to take care of each and every one.

CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT:
Check-in time is at or after 4pm and check-out time is prior to or at 10am. Early check-ins and late checkouts are based on availability and can be requested one day before. Additional fees may apply.
