apartment style living
this was a nice central spot between la valetta and the beach, however the roads to get to the property are extremely bad and there are no designated bike lanes or even a shoulder to ride on, so biking around was tough from this location. there are lots of large trucks driving on kukulkan with all the construction around, so be prepared for a lot of dust and fast moving vehicles. a scooter or car would be the best option if staying at this property.
this is a new building still under construction, so there werent many people around. theres a heavy apartment feel to the place, and im pretty sure only long term people stay here. the pools were lovely but there is no wifi at them, so working remote from the pool isnt possible. communication from the concierge was mediocre and i was often left without a response to my messages. they dont provide extra toilet paper or water, so be prepared to buy these things.
the gym was nice but had a weird smell. there were no cleaning materials to wipe down machines and no towels which felt yucky. the bathroom in the gym never had toilet paper and was left quite dirty as well. the restaurant is right below the gym. i never ate there, but it was always empty.
overall a nice stay, but more for apartment style living and less for vacationing. staff on the property can be a little cold, but maybe that was a language barrier thing. most dont speak english, so be prepared to speak spanish.
