About this property

New Home~Historic Neighborhood~CLOSE To Downtown!

Everything here is brand new! An off-street parking oasis, in Pittsburgh's historic (but notoriously hard-to-park-in) Deutschtown neighborhood.

This four-bedroom home is perfect for groups visiting the city for conventions, sporting events, concerts, and all other North Shore activities. The property is very convenient to all Northside attractions, downtown, Cultural District, North Hills destinations, and The Strip District.

An open concept first floor creates an ideal gathering space for the whole group. There is a powder room by the lower level stairs.

The second floor includes two small queen bedrooms with generous closet space, split by a Jack and Jill bathroom with a tub. The top floor is a master bedroom and bathroom, with a king bed and a queen-size Murphy bed for expanded sleeping, if needed. There is a washer and dryer in the hallway closet.

We've added another bedroom on the lower level, great for those who prefer a total pitch-black sleeping experience.

About the host

Host profile image
I'm Andrew, and I cannot express to you enough how happy I am to be back in my hometown of Pittsburgh. After growing up in the area's declining steel industry, and moving to New England for about 9 years, I'm finally back to the only city that ever felt like home.

I started Steel River Ventures as a way to embrace the city I love when I moved back home to Pittsburgh in 2017. Now I want to share my homes and my city with our guests! I've been fortunate enough to grow over the years along with Pittsburgh and watch it transform. With every day that passes, I discover something else about this city that I love and would be happy to share that with you.

I am more than happy to be as active a host as you'd like. By default, you as a guest will have your privacy, but I'm always available to meet and share my thoughts on the area with you. Be warned though, I love Pittsburgh and that will come through in our conversations!

My primary income is working in vocational learning technology, but I am a car guy at heart. Whenever my schedule allows, I try to get to local track events at roadcourses, auto-cross or hillclimb venues. I enjoy teaching performance driving, car control and driver safety as well. I also try to read a little (usually non-fiction), visit the gym as often as possible, and spend time with family and friends.

Why they chose this property

East Allegheny, also known as Deutschtown, is a thriving, historic Northside neighborhood. While the area offers numerous bars, restaurants, and shops, this house sits on a quieter street on the eastern edge of the neighborhood. A community garden is right around the corner, along with a coffee shop.

What makes this property unique

Everything here is brand new! An off-street parking oasis, in Pittsburgh's historic (but notoriously hard-to-park-in) Deutschtown neighborhood.
