Sunny and spacious home on the water with private dock and private roof patio. Home has modern appliances, new bbq, new washer and dryer, as well as cookware, dinnerware, linens and bath tub. Each bedroom includes private bath with shower and 2 have bath tubs. Master BR has private patio with great views of the water.Beds are very comfortable and outdoor patio is great for breakfast next to the water. We have much experience and many positive reviews. 3 full bedrooms with attached full bathrooms. WiFi speeds of up 1 Gigabit in most of the Home. Lots of sunlight and amenities including kayaks and 2 bikes. Beach wagon, beach towels, and chairs if desired. Ground floor bedroom is easily accessible for elderly persons.
Large garage provides easy parking.
Private dock, roof patio and water access provides additional serenity and quiet. Sunrise, moon rise and sunset views!

Whole house. (Please note: there is one back unit above the garage that has a separate entrance and one long-term lease tenant).

We have a welcome note with all the necessary info, and are available by phone or text for instant communication throughout your Stay. Property manager nearby if-needed as well!

Our stay was absolutely wonderful! We were in town for a family wedding and Balboa Island is a great to stay. We were right on the canal. The main street, and Island were very walkable! Greg and his dad were amazing hosts! The house had tons of room, everything we needed! Would highly recommend!

The property is better than advertised. The location is really great, just a few minute walk to everything. Property was very clean, plenty of space and had everything we needed. Our host Greg is really good to work with, easy to communicate with helpful thought out. I do recommend this property!

Little Gem

What an amazing little stay we had for my sister in laws bachelorette party. It was so convenient to all the stores and is walking distance to a lot of activities on the island/restaurants. It was so easy to work with Greg and our check in process was seamless. Would definitely rent this place out for my family at some point and hope to in the near future!

Perfect family home

Great location near shops, restaurants and a grocer. Fantastic neighborhood to walk with little to no noise! Easy commute to inland experiences. Owner was friendly and prompt with communication. Parking a larger truck on side streets near the house was easy and within a two minute walk.

Spacious Vibe with a View!

From direct connected garage to a view filled patio and master bedroom we had a wonderful stay! Great showers and large “clean” BBQ along with a fire pit just made us hover at our Balboa home much more than we normally do. The oversized TV provided a nice cool down spot to our days. Next time will have to try the bikes and kayak!

Special way to celebrate 21st birthday

My daughter and college friends absolutely loved the property and its plentiful amenities including the kayaks! The rooms have views and have so much natural light. The well appointed kitchen was utilized many times for special meals. And the property manager Greg was fantastic and even dropped off some special desserts. Highly recommend !

Great Property and Great Location

My siblings and my 96-year-old mother thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home. Quiet and peaceful, right on the canal, and just a block away from the main street. Parking is a little difficult in the garage unless you have a small car, but there was ample parking on the streets close by. Owners were very hospitable. Would definitely stay here again.

Birthday Celebration

Beach island setting can’t be beat! Great location with view of the canal and short walking distance to shops and dining. Parking on the island can be a challenge so having a garage with dedicated parking is a huge plus! House has a well appointed kitchen with ample dining area seating. Lovely patio with gas fire pit and grill facing the canal. It was perfect for our “girls getaway birthday celebration! We would definitely return!Downstairs hall, bath and bedroom obviously get a great deal of use and could use a coat of paint. Rare to find a home with three full baths! Also a huge plus for this location! Loved our stay!

Amazing House - Excellent Location

I went here with a reunion of friends and this house could not be more perfect. the rooms are spacious and plentiful, as well as incredibly clean. I'm a stickler about cleanliness, and this is the first rental property I've been in where it seemed like they actually did deep clean. It smelled fresh and there was no dust in sight. The kitchen had every pot, pan, utensil, appliance you would need (including 3 different types of coffee makers!). The location is half a block away from the main Balboa Island shopping strip, which is so convenient. The kayaks are AWESOME--we had a blast exploring the canals. The only difficult part was parking in the garage, as we had a Honda Civic and a Toyota Corolla, which couldn't quite fit. But no matter, it was very easy to find parking on Little Balboa Island and took me no more than 5 minutes to walk to my car. If you are considering a place in Balboa Island, stop looking, you've found the place. You can't beat a house as perfect as this one.

Balboa

As advertised Great location convenient to the main commercial street on Balboa. Walking distance to market and restaurants. Gregory was more than accommodating, responsive and helpful. We could not find the blender and notified Gregory and he delivered a new blender the same day. Welcoming basket from him was a real treat and very much appreciated. Extra refrigerator in the garage is very helpful with six guests. Would rent again for next August, but it was already taken. Some minor wears and tears in flooring and walls not abnormal for a rental property. Garage can hold one large car, possibly two small due to challenge of navigating in due to dumpsters in alley behind garage. Additional parking on Little Island was very convenient. All in all, a good choice for the price.

Island Fun

From the beginning Greg was great to work with. He is very responsive and it is evident that he goes the extra mile to insure his renters have a great stay. If you are new to the Island, you should know that it is a very busy tourist area, especially around the holidays. But that is also what makes it fun! Getting on and off the island can be dicey at times, but it is worth it. The location of the home is fantastic. The house sits right behind the main street (shares an alley) which means you can walk everywhere, which is nice because parking can get difficult. The market is across the ally and has everything you need including a great café where you can get food to go if you don't want to cook. Of course there are also restaurants along the street as well to sit down or take out. The home comes with two bikes (great to ride over to the ferry launch) and two kayaks. There is also a small dock and water front in front of the home. It take two adults to get the kayaks down and into the water but after that our 12 year old boys had no problem paddling around on their own. The house itself is quite roomy. Keep in mind that this is a weekly water front rental so it does get a fair amount of wear and tear. But the owner really does a good job of maintaining it. The kitchen was well stocked and has new appliances. There are ample linens and towels including some beach towels. Bring your own shampoo and soap, those were scarce. If I am forced to write a negative it would be that the main floor bedroom has a King bed which is a bit too big for the room. It is hard to navigate the closet. Also, the upstairs master is lacking sufficient closet space due to the lock off owner closet. Neither is a huge deal, just maybe something to be aware of. We are excited to stay again the next time we are in Newport. The location and fun house are tough to beat!

Beautiful home and great location in the heart of Balboa Island. We loved the fact that each bedroom had its own private bathroom. House was right on the canal with the walkway right outside the front patio!Lots of shops all around us.Thank you!

Amazing Location!! You feel like a local!

House had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Fireplace was an extra nice touch. Location can’t be beat! I would stay again! Garage is actually a good size for two vehicles but a challenge comes into play because there are trash bins in the alley from the market. Without those trash bins you have plenty a room but since they’re there, one vehicle is probably ideal. One small thing to note (I didn’t rate down for) was the cleaning crew arriving after we were told we could check in early. Also, our check out time was 10am and they were there at 9:30am. When I told them we would leave at 10am, they graciously left but came back at 9:55, we were gone by then but just wanted to note that.

What makes this property unique

With large skylights in the Master Bedroom and upstairs hallway, comfortable dining area, roof deck, private dock with a small beach area, and a living room and patio alongside the water, we knew this was the property on the Island that we wanted to own. Superb location with lots of morning sunshine in the bedrooms and a short walk to the downtown and harbor and beach areas as well.
