Nicely furnished, recently remodeled large (5-600 SF) Studio unit on a beautiful gorge with nearby waterfall and swimming pond. Unit has own kitchen, full private bath, shared yard, laundry, outdoor shower, sauna & hot tub. Also has cable TV & Wi-Fi and private lanai/deck. Lush quiet surroundings, yet only 6 minutes to downtown Hilo. All windows look out on beautiful large, landscaped yard - like having your own private tropical rain forest. Garage parking included (one car).

The location, hosts and amenities stood out. This was a very clean place just 15 minutes from the Hilo airport and super convenient to so many things. The hosts were great even having a gathering for their guests with light fare and caroling on Christmas Eve. Additionally, they have about everything you might need and not want to bring from folding chairs to watch the stars, snorkeling stuff, bikes, and so much more. The laundry was great to have as well as the peaceful surroundings. Thank you!

Was great to have a full size fridge and stove as we prepare our own meals. Microwave and laundry facilities were a bonus. The bed was very comfy and cleanliness is a must with me and I was not let down. Also nice to be just out of town away from the traffic and noise. Definitely will be my go to stay the next time visiting.

I travel for work and like to stay in places with kitchens. This place was great. It was clean, safe and comfortable. There was covered parking which was helpful on rainy days. There was a window a/c unit that I barely used because it was cool most days and nights. I loved being able to cook instead of having to eat out all the time. I also loved having a laundry facility on site. Guy is a wonderful host, and he checked in on me intermittently to make sure everything was ok.

What a Delicious place to stay in Hilo!

This studio is just right, perfect, pick your own words. It is comfy, airy, large. The yard is a gorgeous garden. You have access to washer/dryer , SAUNA ! If you are a Sauna user like we are, this one is right on the money as far as time and temp to heat. I would highly recommend this place to a couple or even 4. We had a friend stay one night and we were all comfortable. When we go back to Hilo, OUR HILO HOME will be our place.

Aloha Delight!

This home is convenient and beautiful inside and out! The beds are comfortable, so we slept great and awoke refreshed! Internet worked great. We didn't stay long enough to cook in, but there's a full size refrigerator and all the necessary appliances to bring home delicious ingredients from the Hilo Farmer's Market and create a feast of your own. The location is just outside of Hilo and it was nice to get out of town to relax. But it's still super easy to hop on Hwy 19 to head North toward Wailea and just as easy to head South on 19 toward Hwy 11 to Volcanoes National Park. The onsite property manager is very kind as well! The singing frogs are an added bonus! We will be back.........and hopefully sooner than later! Mahalo for opening up your Hilo Home and Aloha until next time!

Why they chose this property

We wanted a well-built home, in a very quiet, neighborhood (on a private dead end street) with gorgeous yard and lots of wood and space, that we could share with family and friends from around the world, as well as occasional guests who would like to enjoy our little slice of paradise! We loved the location and setting--a perfect balance of quiet, lush surroundings, yet a beautiful short drive to town.

What makes this property unique

It has an amazing yard on a tropical rainforest, sauna & new hot tub, gorgeous rural location on a roaring stream and waterfalls, yet very close to Hilo and its conveniences. That we can bike or walk to beaches is a plus as well!
