This nicely decorated 2 bedroom plus loft 3 bathroom townhouse in Mammoth Lakes California is located near town and the Snowcreek Golf Course. On the winter shuttle route and walking distance to the meadow and fishing stream and sleeps 8 people. From the deck, this condo has lovely views and the Snowflower complex offers a great outdoor pool (Summer only), spa, sauna, laundry facilities and tennis. The living area features a large comfortable section so all of the family can cozy up around the wood burning fireplace. The open plan kitchen and dining area allows for great social evenings with dining for 8 and high counter bar stools for additional seating for 2. Equipped with a large flatscreen TV with cable and a full bath on this level. The upstairs loft is a great hang out for singles or kids offering 2 twin beds and one trundle day bed (with two twins) for a total of 4 twins. The master bed features a Queen bed and full en-suite bath. The second bedroom on the downstairs entry level features a Queen bed and full bath. All guests receive complimentary full access to Snowcreek Athletic Club to enjoy facilities including indoor heated pool, steam/sauna, full fitness facility, yoga, pilates and cycle studio and more. Approx 1450 sq. ft, this 3 level townhome sleeps a Maximum Occupancy: 8. Guests will be provided two parking passes. Reviewer Comments: Yes, location was great, however, the weather isn’t always warm in the summer and the condo didn’t have extra blankets. The condo sleeps eight but the supplies given by the rental company didn’t reflect that nor did the supplies given for the kitchen. We were lucky they gave us salt and pepper. Most places give a few more spices than that. Most disappointing is that we are not allowed to use the washer and dryer that is in the condo.

Cyclone Snow Bomb prevented using reservation

Reviewer Comments: Unfortunately despite weather rejports that said to stay away, the rental company insisted that this a Cyclone Snow bomb was normal and refused to refund because we had just missed the deadline. The advice was to pack water, food, shovel and chains. We've learned our lesson about booking in advance and will no longer do so. We'll risk Mammoth being sold out before we pre-book again. Very disappointed.

Reviewer Comments: The sinks in the bathrooms are very low, the back bedroom shower did not drain properly, the bed in the back bedroom mattress needs to be replaced. The mattress has a dip in the middle so if two people are in the bed you both roll to the middle causing the inability to get a good night's rest. We were miserable. The unit was not as clean as it should have been. Coffee grinds in the coffee pot, spiders in the bathrooms, and a bright light shining into the back bedroom window at night were all irritating.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed at Snowflower many times. This unit was dusty with very old and tired looking furniture. The management company was easy to work with but I would not stay in this particular unit again. October was a beautiful and quiet time to visit. We enjoyed the area, but were surprised to see businesses closed til November and some, like Bank of America, have left the area. We love the Eastern Sierras and hope things improve as the economy improves.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I have stayed in five other Snowflower Units over the years. This unit was clean ,but the shower slider door came off the track and landed on the foot of my daughter's friend. Luckily, he just had a bruised foot but it shouldn't have happened. Furthermore, the shower floors were super slippery ,so I would suggest non-stick decals or a treatment to make the showers more safe. I would definitely stay in Snowflower again because of the great location but definitely not in this unit. I would like to compliment the management company who were courteous and came out immediately to fix the shower slider.

The place comfortably fit everyone and for being a holiday weekend the complex was quiet! This has been our second year staying at Snowflower and it has now become something we will do every year. The condo has everything you could need and is a great price for what you get. Again, we couldn't have had a better place...highly recommend.

Reviewer Comments: We have been staying at this condo every year for approx. 4 years, for some reason this year there was number of things that needed to be fixed. The garbage disposal was jammed so we had to start it with a broom stick. And when it ran, it sounded like it was coming apart. The TV picture would come and go and the sound would do the same. It made it very hard to watch TV. (very annoying!!!) In addition we were not able to get regular news channel.(???) We never had these problems in the past years. This is a great condo, but these things need to be fixed. The staff at Mammoth Sierra Res. were great on trying to get the VT fixed before we left but we ran out of time.

Grandkids first trip to Mammoth

Reviewer Comments: Our family has been staying at the Snowflower condo complex once a year and sometimes twice a year for the past 25+ years. Always during the summer months. I'm sorry to say this particular condo was the worse one we've ever stayed in. It was dirty and is in need of an update. There were cobwebs all over the place and some of the light switches were so dirty and sticky we had to clean them. The carpet is separating at the seam in the living room and dining room, the upstairs shower door came of the rail because it's loose and the walls are filthy and need to be repainted. I could go on and on but you get the idea. Oh and the WiFi sucked as well. Mammoth Sierra properties was very accommodating when we told them of the issue and offered to switch us to any other condo we wanted. We had already unpacked everything etc and didn't want to go through that hassle for just the 3 nights we were going to be there. Don't get me wrong, I'm going to reserve another condo for a 5 day fishing trip next month, just not this one!

Old is okay, broken or dirty is not

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been staying in various condos in the Snowflower complex annually for most of the past 20 years. Old is expected, broken or dirty is not. The overall appearance of Unit 74 was expected and okay. I (we) did expect more from the owner or cleaner of this unit. A few things to address:1) a greasy odor when we entered the front door, growing stronger as we neared the kitchen.2) stovetop knobs were greasy leading us to ask ourselves, were the pots & dishes clean?3) the dish drainer was FILTHY, requiring a lot of scrubbing to make it usable.4) the kitchen trash can lid was broken and dirty5) the rocking chair pads were FILTHY6) a lightbulb is missing in a living room light7) the lampshade in the loft is broken up and dirty8) the window blinds were missing rods to open and close9) we had NO access to washer/dryer 10) Master shower head sprayed everywhere. To the prompt & friendly credit of Sierra Mammoth Reservations, a plumber was called & replaced immediately
