Incredible backyard resort! We were 7adults and 3 children (under 10). The pool, hot tub, fountain and plenty of room. We also had 5 local family members over for supper. Plenty of seating outdoors and a nice grill. House is on a quiet cul-de-sac very family friendly. Location is great. We did mornings downtown, the zoo, beaches and in the afternoons came back to the house. The little ones napped while the rest of us sat outside enjoying the backyard. Tierrasanta is a great convenient location. Just a great place to stay if you want to have some quality family time and enjoy San Diego.

This property was beautiful and peaceful. We had a retreat and the space fit all of us7. We had the opportunity to try the pool and jacuzzi. We had a great time. This space allowed us to have memorable moments. So grateful.

50th Anniversary family trip

Our family enjoyed our stay at Claudia’s home! It had plenty of space for all of us. The pool and spa are a plus! We loved the backyard with the waterfall and all the landscaping. It was a very peaceful space! Our family highly recommends this property and all that San Diego has to offer!

Home away from home/Amazing backyard

This home has a well stocked kitchen, an umbrella and chairs for the beach, space for the group or alone time and was in a great neighborhood. Oh, and the pool and backyard were AMAZING! One of the beds was on the extra firm side but even the pull out couch bed was comfy. The upstairs was a little warm but fans were provided to help with that. There were a few creaks, squeaks and one of the back doors was tough to open and close but nothing of major concern. The host was also very communicative and helpful. We would absolutely book here again.

Comfortable Stay in Quiet Neighborhood

Pros: convenient to San Diego attractions, nice neighborhood, plenty of street parking, wonderful backyard/pool area, the A/C, washer & dryer, internet worked well (did not use TVs), lots of books & toys for our 3 year old grandsonCons: need more accuracy in listing (size of pet allowed, extra pet fees), top dishwasher rack was broken, no drying rack for dishes that were hand washed, pool cover was not attached to the rollerSurprisingly, Claudia thought check-in time was 4pm even though it clearly says 3pm on the listing. She had to rush to get the house ready for our arrival.We did not mind being asked to take out the black & green bins on trash day. Overall, our family enjoyed our time together in San Diego.

Just to clarify a few things: I did adjust my cleaning schedule to have the house ready by 3:00 PM, as listed, and I was happy to hear you arrived around 3:45. The upper dishwasher rack was damaged by a prior guest just before your arrival — the replacement part arrived two days later. While still functional, I understand it required extra care. I also offered to bring over a dish drying rack immediately, and I’m sorry if that wasn’t convenient for you at the time. Regarding the pet policy: I did inform you of the pet fee when the reservation was made back in February. That said, your dog was an absolute sweetheart — very well-behaved! Lastly, I’ll make sure to speak with the pool service about keeping the cover properly attached to the roller. Thank you again for staying, and for being such respectful and kind guests. Beautiful home and not far from airport/MCRD San Diego. The tv's were a bit confusing, but we may have just been tired, we couldn't get one to turn on. Backyard very dark at night, but again, may have been we just weren't locating the correct light switches! My daughter's just switched on their cell phone lights and we found how to heat up the spa and the one light that we could find in the binder, so all was well. We would definitely stay here again, our whole family able to stay in one place was great. I saw a review that mentioned stripping beds, etc, but we didn’t see that so we did not do so, it wouldn't have been too big a deal, but we were on a massive time crunch leaving and literally flew out of the house. Also had no issues taking out the garbage and pulling the cans to the curb and back on trash day.

Nice Stay, But Be Prepared for Extra Scrutiny

Overall, we had a pleasant stay and the house itself was comfortable and mostly as described. The owner was very responsive and communicative. However, a few things detracted from the experience. The light switches were confusing to use, you couldn’t watch regular tv channels on the tv and the TV in the first bedroom would not turn on. We also found out at the last minute that the washing machine was out of order, which was frustrating since we had planned to use it.At checkout, we were asked to do quite a bit—stripping all the beds, gathering all the towels, emptying the trash, etc.—which seemed excessive considering there’s a cleaning fee. After our stay, the owner contacted me multiple times about issues she found, including dog holes in the yard (I went ahead and paid her for them) and scratches on the stair rail that we were unaware of.While the stay itself was mostly fine, and we left the house clean, just be aware that the property owner is very particular and will inspect everything very closely after your departure.

Thank you for your stay, Sonya. I appreciate that you left the home clean and followed the checkout instructions. I did want to clarify a few things for future transparency. I let you know in advance that the washing machine had stopped working and that the technician needed to order a part, which would not arrive during your short 2-day stay. The day after check-in, I was informed that your brother brought a service dog. I understand and respect the legal protections for service animals, and I do accept dogs in general. However, I would have appreciated advance notice so I could prepare the home accordingly and ask any necessary questions. After your departure, I found multiple holes dug in the backyard and scratch marks on the stair railing. I let you know about this not to ask for compensation, but simply to keep communication open and honest as I maintain the home for future guests. I’m sorry if this message upset you, as that was not my intention. Wishing you all the best moving forward.
