Great property

We were in town for 4 days and this place was nice, clean,cozy and felt just like being at home! The neighborhood was very quiet except for the neighbor's rooster at 3am. Overall it was a great stay!

Pleasant home. Excellent communication.

We enjoyed our stay. It was a pleasant home in a cute neighborhood but there were roosters on one or both sides so not good if you are looking for quiet. Host was very pleasant and helpful.

Property was pet friendly. It was very quiet and relaxing. The house was clean and was stocked with cooking and eating utensils. The beds were so comfortable, and the bathrooms were roomy, and very clean. I love the fact I could wash my clothes and laundry soap, stain remover, and dryer sheets were available for me to use. I would recommend anyone to stay here.

Merced Retreat

Had a wonderful stay in this well appointed and comfortable home just moments from the heart of downtown Merced. Timely communication with property owner gave us peace and mind, highly recommend.

ok for a quick stay

A basic home...no frills and no real amenities or items that would help during a power outage (which we experienced). Could use a lantern and ways to open the blinds. We left early.

Nice, but needs some attention

I’m grateful to have had a place to stay. The place was nice, but it needs attention. There are small things that need to be fixed such as blinds behind a couch that are broken, there was no hand soap in the guest bathroom, a broken lamp in the main bedroom.

Excellent host

While there were a couple hiccups between the listing and some cleaning situations, it was an amazing stay with my family. We were in town for our cousins double wedding, American on Friday and Sikh on Saturday. I would feel awful about the ratings, considering the two mishaps we had were not his fault. He was prompt and ready to remedy as soon as he could. Thank you, Aruna!! :) :)

Couch was broken and unusable. Host promised a minimal Reimbursement . Screen door broken. Several drawers broken. Not the cleanest. Bed and pillows were good. Host tried to help but this home is not up to VRBO standards. I

Nice home

Nice home and very comfortable. In a good location and a fenced backyard for pups to be outside. Good communication with owner. Some negatives: A drawer in the kitchen is broken. The towels have stains in them. No kitchen towel or paper towels and despite the owner saying she/he would bring some that never happened. No coffee filters. There is dust on fans and some cobwebs, etc that the cleaning service needs to address. Otherwise a nice home to stay in.

Dirty and Felt Unsafe

Overgrown bushes in the front, a dirty mattress in the garage, an unlocked back sliding door, fire alarm not plugged in, spiders and spiderwebs, layers of dust on ceiling fans and lampshades, overgrown and unkempt backyard with trash and cigarette butts strewn about. We didn't bother staying the second night and opted for a hotel instead. Owner was not responsive allowing me to get photos. Am taking it up with VRBO to get a refund and reassess if this is the type of property they want on their site.

Regarding the mattress mentioned, it was staged in the garage for bulk trash pickup and in no way interfered with the guest space or your stay. The property was cleaned according to our standards prior to your arrival, and we maintain regular upkeep of both interior and exterior spaces. We understand you requested to leave after one night and sought a refund for the second night. As outlined in our cancellation policy that all guests agree to upon booking, we are unable to provide refunds outside of those terms. Our cancellation policy is clearly stated during the reservation process and applies equally to all guests. We regret that we couldn't meet your expectations during your brief stay. We've hosted many satisfied guests and consistently work to maintain our property to high standards. For future guests with any concerns, we encourage immediate communication so we can address issues promptly during your stay.
