The history of our historic haven starts with my great grandparents who immigrated from Norway in the 1890s and were the 3rd settlers in Hansville. In 1915 my grandparents, John and Matilda, bought this property, built a house and raised three children. The first house burned down and together with neighbors built this second house. They also built a cabin and rented it out during the summer months (one of the first vacation rentals) to local fishermen that came to Hansville which was widely known as a popular salmon fishing area. The property stayed in the family and the house was expanded and renovated. We love the Pacific Northwest and love sharing our home and this piece of history with our guests.
