Ski-in Ski-out Convenience. While not far from the nearest ski slope, it’s often easier to walk than ski to/from the ski slopes/lifts—no car/shuttle needed. It’s one of the closest private homes to the Tram. Located caddy corner from the Teton Mountain Lodge, this platform shows the exact location of my property but will not allow sharing the address until booked. It’s easiest to walk to the Village commons, shopping, restaurants, lifts, etc. No need for a rental car; especially in winter. In most cases, it is quicker to walk than drive, park, and navigate on foot to your base area destination. With that said and depending on the snow coverage, one can often ski in to the house at the end of the day. In the non-ski season, a car is more useful for seeing the area sights, or participating in the area activities.
The smart, contemporary, comfortable, and convenient accommodations of the Rendezvous House consist of an amazingly beautiful, chalet-style, mountain-side home with modern lodge style architecture. The property was featured in the Summer 2007 issue of Teton Home and Living magazine. Originally built in 1966, it was one of the first homes in Teton Village. A major renovation and large addition was completed in 2005. All this is located just steps from the Winter and Summer activities offered in and around Jackson Hole's resort Village.

You will RENT DIRECTLY FROM THE OWNER (Mike Daus), who will personally respond to your inquiry, not an agent or representative; and, the rates are competitively priced. Please check the calendar for up-to-date availability. The owner has over thirty years of experience with investing and managing rental property in Jackson Hole, and holds a Wyoming Associate Broker real estate license. The owner is also a retired firefighter; and, PSIA certified ski instructor.
Enjoy forested views both up the mountain, and of the Jackson Hole valley below from the private balconies and patios. Plus, wildlife visits are common, so bring a camera! A large great room with vaulted ceiling is bright with natural light; and, the house is warmed by state-of-the-art hydronic floor heating with individual smart home controls in each room.
The comfortable living spaces have large flat-scree smart TVs; where you can watch cable channels, or connect to your favorite sports, channels, streaming services, gaming, music, or even cast from your portable device.
CHEF'S KITCHENS: The main house has a contemporary open kitchen, which is perfect for conversation while creating culinary masterpieces. Appliances include a full size refrigerator, freezer with ice-maker, dishwasher, built-in microwave, propane gas range, electric oven, warming drawer, wine and beverage coolers with additional ice maker at attached bar. There's instant hot water at the kitchen sink and an in-sink disposer.
FINE ART: Three generations of family art and artifacts adorn the walls and personalize your experience in a home, not just a vacation rental.
SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS: Bedrooms have large closets, flat screen televisions and separate bathrooms. In the main house there are three king beds in separate rooms; plus, the bunk room which accommodates up to four. All are appointed with hotel style comforters. There are no hideaway (folding) beds, but two fold away pack and play style cribs are available. Fresh linens are provided at the start of every stay. Bedding for ten adults. Plus there are two children’s size air mattresses. Plenty of extra linens.
The guesthouse wing includes 2 more bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a full kitchen, a sleeping loft; and this wing, can accommodate seven in adult sized beds.
KEEPING ORGANIZED: Secure ski storage is available in the the two-car heated garage space. There’s plenty of closets and room to put away your cloths and feel right at home.
EXTRA TOUCHES: The home is furnished with wireless internet, high quality linens, bath amenities, boot dryer, and the kitchen is completely stocked with dishes, cookware, and coffee maker (drip and K-cup); as well as, coffee filters, napkins, paper towels, and garbage bags. No need to buy water bottles either--Teton Village's water supply is some of the best tasting water in the area!
SERVICES: Housekeeping is provided upon departure, and additional services can be arranged (chef, groceries, catering, mid-stay cleaning, professional event planning, etc.).
LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! All that Teton Village has to offer is only a few minutes away by foot including the Mangy Moose and Four Seasons Resort--it actually takes longer if you drive! In addition to the ski resort, you'll have easy access to nearby shopping, dining, nightlife, spas, sightseeing, and more. The entrance to Grand Teton National Park is one mile from the front door, Yellowstone is one hour away, and the town of Jackson is a beautiful 20 minute drive.
Many guests like the freedom of a rental car to visit other attractions in the valley, but others rely on the Jackson Hole START Bus ('transit with a view!') which accesses the Town of Jackson with its additional shopping, restaurants and bars. The Jackson Hole Airport (JAC) is serviced year round by mainline air carriers Alaska, American, Delta, United (others seasonally); and, is about 30-40 minutes away by car, shuttle, or taxi.
Garage parking is available for up to two vehicles; and, additional driveway parking may be available upon request.
Seven night (or longer) stays are preferred, and offer the best discounts. During peak demand, owner may require a higher minimum number of nights.
Pets/Animals (one dog only): Please read carefully to avoid cancellation, charges against deposit, or loss of reservation.
The animal must be disclosed at time of booking or requested in advance. There’s no additional charge or deposit required; however, please limit your furry friends to one dog. We do have someone with allergies in our household; and therefore, cannot accept every type of animal. The dog should be traveling with its owner, house trained, in good health, spayed/neutered, and have lived with and in dog owner’s household for the most recent two years. Sorry, no pups or recent adoptees (they’re still getting to know you and/or our world); however, we’d love to welcome you back with them in a year or two. If you’re not sure, please ask. The dog must be housebroken and may not be left unattended in the rental.

This area has been my home since the early 70’s when my parents brought my siblings and me out West and enrolled us in the local schools. We spent part of the year here, and part of the year in Ohio. In the late 80’s I moved back to the area permanently, working briefly in the travel industry before getting involved in real estate appraising, brokering, investing, managing and remodeling.
I purchased the “Rendezvous House” in September of 2001, and made some immediate changes to enhance the comfort of the accommodations. After renting it for a short time, I moved-in and began plans for an extensive remodel and addition. The vision was realized in 2005 when the project was complete. THe Rendezvous House is perfect for family stays; as well as, groups of friends. One of my favorite feature of this house is its location, so close to the center of Teton Village! Welcome!

Why they chose this property
This was a once in a lifetime opportunity to own property so close to the heart of the ski village. While one of the oldest homes in the area (1966), and in need of attention, age could not steal it's bragging rights as being the closest single family residence to the Tram! And even while it sits so close to the heart of Teton Village, the views and the feel could be anywhere in the mature, wooded neighborhood of the original Teton Village residential area. The location, combined with the extensive remodel and addition completed in 2005, makes this one of the most sought after vacation rentals in Teton Village.
What makes this property unique
The house is located in a mature forest, with plenty of privacy. It's so close to everything that walking or skiing to and from the lifts, hiking/biking trails, restaurants and shops, is more convenient than driving. Still, you'll feel as though you're deep in the woods as you look up the mountain, or through the trees and out across the valley.
