Valley View Escape is a newly built, luxurious desert getaway in Joshua Tree. The home was designed by renowned mid-century architect Lance O’Donnel. The clean mid-century lines of this home along with the integration of nature with large windows all around make this a unique home. It has a seamless indoor/outdoor living experience, allowing you to enjoy the beauty of the desert landscape from anywhere in the home. With modern amenities and breathtaking surroundings, it’s the perfect place to unwind and relax. Indoor/Outdoor living with outdoor dining, grill, seating and hot tub. Outdoor custom artwork in the front yard, inside the home and in the back of the home allow you to feel connected with the local artists. A custom Artisian Propane Firepit allows for enjoying the outdoors even when it is chilly outside.
Valley View Escape has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, sleeps Six with a Pullout queen bed in the living room. Custom Kitchen boasts a 10-foot Island and seating, induction stovetop, oven and microwave. Enjoy cooking in this beautiful gourmet kitchen while your guests sit at the kitchen island.
Mountain views out every window and unbelievable stars at night. Enjoy coffee in the mornings while enjoying the mountain views and stargazing from the Hot tub at night.
The property is one mile from Joshua Tree town, very close to the Joshua Tree Monument. The property is about 1/2 mile off of Hwy 62, down a graded dirt road.

Load the dishwasher
Gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Please make sure that the temperature on Hot Tub & A/C is set to 90 degrees and all doors are locked and blinds closed.
If checkout is on a Sunday or Monday - please move the Trash and recycling bin to in front of the home for trash pick-up.
Please make sure that you pack all personal items and belongings. If we need to send any left items, there will be a $35 handling fee + shipping costs.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
NO smoking or vaping inside the home. There will be a $300 remediation fee if smoking/vaping smell is inside the home. NO Fires at home
All guests to provide the following: 1.) copy of valid ID 2.) List of guests names that will be at the home. 3.) acknowledge understanding of rules
Ring Doorbell camera and front yard camera is on the premises. This video and audio footage is not shared publicly.. no tampering of video equipment.

This Joshua Tree house was everything we imagined and more. A beautiful modern design, immaculately clean, comfortable and set in a beautiful location that was close to town and Joshua Tree National Park. We hope to stay here again some day. Everything about it was fantastic!

Host was very responsive to last minute questions and assistance. The house is gorgeous inside and out, views spectacular, and kitchen was well equipped. Just one note and that is it would have been helpful to have some documentation with instructions for operation of blinds, jacuzzi, fire pit.

This was a PERFECT stay, one of our very favorites of staying at VRBOs in many countries over the years. The listing accuracy was so wonderfully precise and the hosts were very attentive and responsive, before, during and upon our exit. Within the first 24 hours of our stay, we were already planning a return visit with friends.

We had a wonderful stay! The home was spacious, clean, and fully stocked with everything we needed—from the kitchen to the bathroom and all the little extras. The hot tub was spotless and perfect for relaxing under the stars, and the outdoor areas were beautifully maintained, giving us plenty of space to enjoy in any way we wanted. The location is very convenient for exploring Joshua Tree, and the hosts were friendly and responsive throughout our stay. We’d definitely love to come back!

Lovely house. Big open windows overlooking the desert. Perfect getaway on the 4th of July for those who aren’t the biggest fans of fireworks. It was so quiet, peaceful. I loved it. Also one of the most comfortable jacuzzi’s I’ve ever sat in.

The house is so nice-the kitchen is perfect, and the indoor area is plenty big to hang out in when it's too hot outside. I loved having coffee in the morning on the nice porch and cocktails in the evening, and hot tub was plenty hot! We were 4 adults total and we all agreed we would try to book this house again when we come back.

Great Desert Retreat

We have visited Joshua Tree previously and were eager for our trip back to enjoy some hiking. Our stay at the property was excellent - the location is quiet and peaceful and amenities were just what we were looking for. We were able to relax in the living room and watch tennis, as well as enjoy the hot tub. The property owners were very responsive to questions and assisted with a minor item straight away. Will stay again next time we are in the area.

This was the perfect space for our Cousin Weekend Retreat! Everything was as promised and pictured. Beautiful inside and out and very comfortable. Paul responded quickly to any questions we had. Valley View Escape will be my go to for future trips to Joshua Tree!

Excellent Joshua Tree Property

The house was perfect for a long weekend in Joshua Tree for two couples. Looks exactly like the photos and was spotlessly clean. Has absolutely everything you need. Plenty of towels and extra linens. Extremely well stocked kitchen. Great location close to the park and town. Couldn’t ask for better views. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

Rain escape from PNW

The property was as advertised, but better. All appointments were high quality and well maintained. It was fun to sit in the hot tub and star gaze. Bed and bedding were exceptional as well as all the kitchen appliances, utensils and cutlery. We’ll hopefully be back.

Beautiful home

We enjoyed this home. It was perfect for two couples. The floor to ceiling windows on both north and south sides of the property was wonderful as well as the large kitchen which we used a lot. Areas to improve: front door was beautiful but very fussy to lock and unlock. The hot tub could have been cleaner.

Views for Days!

Beautiful take on the simplicity of a contemporary container home. The three large double sliding doors on both sides of the living room blurred the space between the interior and the porches at the front and back, making the space feel huge. Smart use of materials and application to make it modern (stained concrete floors and terrazzo counters) but still feel cozy (all the live edge and natural stained doors) made for a really charming space. The place was awesome with the bedrooms being on opposite ends with large bathrooms and showers that opened to the rising and setting sun. Probably my favorite VRBO ever, will be back.

Wonderful home!

This was one of the nicest homes we have rented on VRBO. The location was perfect for spending a few days hiking at Joshua Tree. The house was very well appointed. They thought of everything! The layout was perfect for two couples. The house itself is very private with lovely views and good stargazing. We would what? I have a new follower. She's hot. What is Clark done but I thought that that other woman was following you cuz Clark was following her definitely stay here again.
