The Ottawa Escape! King Bed. Pet Friendly! Close to downtown.

Welcome to our Ottawa Escape! This beautifully remodeled home sleeps 6, and includes a king bed, two twin beds, and a sofa sleeper. Enjoy your morning coffee at our breakfast nook in the kitchen or outside on the front porch. The backyard offers ample space for the kids to play or your dog to roam. Enjoy movies on the 55 inch Roku TV or playing a game of giant Jenga. There is a washer/ dryer available for use as well.

This house is cozy and comfortable, being roughly 850 square feet total. It offers a full-sized kitchen, with everything needed to cook a family dinner. Beautifully remodeled bathroom with a bathtub for soaking. We offer a king size bed and two twin beds with ample storage for clothes and a dedicated work space for traveling workers. In the living room we offer a queen sized pull out couch with a 55 inch TV and plenty of games for the kids.

Additional info:
Although we are pet friendly, we do require a one time pet fee of $100.

We love sharing our home with all our guests. However, due to prior disrespectful renters and property damage we will only accept booking requests from:
-- Renters who are above the age of 25.
--Renters who will be staying during the reservation and are not booking for someone else.
--Renters who have less than 5 star reviews.

****Please park on our side of the driveway closest to the house. Please be careful of the telephone pole that splits ours and our neighbors driveway when pulling in and backing up.****

Please do not flush any flushable wipes as they will clog our plumbing

great getaway location

My wife and our dog stayed for three nights, great location, super comfortable and cozy, close to everything in downtown Ottawa and just a short drive from Starved Rock and the trails. having the laundry and kitchen were a huge plus, great place to relax after hiking. the hosts were very helpful and accommodating, highly recommended for anyone visiting Starved Rock.

The owners were fantastic throughout the entire process and very helpful and communicative. The home is in a perfect area to visit all the local state parks. It was very clean and perfect for the 2 of us.

Long weekend get-away

Thank you so much for the excellent place to stay! It was very clean and had everything we needed. Just as described in listing. We enjoyed the state park areas, restaurants, and local shops and activities including the farmers market and music concert in Washington Park.

Great little house!

We really enjoyed our stay at this house. It was very clean and well appointed with essentials. I am always concerned about the mattress due to some bad experiences, but I am happy to say, the bed was great! Quiet area, but short ride to all the parks. We would definitely book again!

State Park Getaway

We loved having this place as our landing pad while we explored all the area state parks!! Also, tried Sam’s Pizza and HiWay Diner as our local food spots and both were amazing!

Cozy Cottage

The house was exactly as describe. Has a nice living room/dining area. There was a great welcome basket with keurig coffee, cream and oatmeal. It was a great retreat after our hikes at the state parks. The town of Ottawa was also really enjoyable. We were grateful to be able to bring our two small dogs.

We have stayed here previously and thought it was very clean and neat but it seems a little run down from the last time we stayed. The front porch felt like it was going to collapse, the coffee table in the living room looked like it was about to fall apart and not sure what happened to the water pressure in the shower. Love the cottage though!

Weekend hiking getaway for family

This was our second visit to this property, and it's really perfect for our family! Walking distance to basketball court for my teen boys, a short drive to downtown for dinner, and close enough to state parks for hiking. I love that the kitchen has what we need to cook simple meals, and the Keurig coffee supply is greatly appreciated! Oh, and when it rained, we played board games supplied by the owners and found a small bowling alley downtown. All in all, a great getaway!

Needed a place to stay for a week while new flooring was being installed in our home

It was great! So clean & well set up for a stay. Kitchen was well stocked. Had everything you need to cook. Nice extras like coffee & breakfast options. Location was in an older neighborhood close to town. The state parks are within 10 miles & the I&M canal path access is blocks away, We were very pleased with this house.
