The house was immaculate, well appointed and in a great location. We traveled from Chicago to Ottawa for a weekend trip and we were lucky to find a beautiful home situated a quick 16 minutes from Starved Rock state park.

The property was super clean and charming. Hosts have done an amazing job with the little details such as Keurig coffee maker and also drip coffee maker, tissue boxes around the house, all your kitchenware, comfortable bedding and towels, and pac-man was just a bonus. Nice quiet neighborhood too. If you stay here, check out Alfanos pizza - delish!

I went with my family for a week to have fun in Chicago, and this was one of the best Vrbo rentals I've been to. The place was very clean, and the owners were transparent and very friendly! The beds were very comfortable, and the shower had great water pressure. The only downside was how far away it was from Chicago (about 1.5 hours away). But the neighborhood was cozy, and even though it rained the whole time we were there, the house was comfortable and smelled amazing10/10 would highly recommend

my family traveled to Ottawa for our grandsons wedding and had an awesome time. originally we selected this property because it was pet friendly, we however ended up traveling without our fur babies. this home was great either way! you would never have known there were ever pets there My. daughter actually asked me to find out how they kept it so fresh. it wasn't air freshener smell just clean!the hosts were great and responded promptly every time I had a question. and the house had everything needed. the neighborhood was very quiet. I honestly can not think of a downside to write about. thank you Matt and Stephanie

great getaway location

My wife and our dog stayed for three nights, great location, super comfortable and cozy, close to everything in downtown Ottawa and just a short drive from Starved Rock and the trails. having the laundry and kitchen were a huge plus, great place to relax after hiking. the hosts were very helpful and accommodating, highly recommended for anyone visiting Starved Rock.
