The stay was wonderful. Very peaceful area. Furniture was comfortable. The many signs explaining rules, policies and extra charges took away from the tranquility. The cottage is well maintained. Communication with Manager was great! We will stay again.
This little cottage was exactly what we expected and wanted. It was clean, easy to find, and the breakfast was out of this world! Communication was great and I would absolutely stay here again
My new husband and I only had a couple days for a honeymoon. This cottage was absolutely perfect for us!!! We how to come back every year on our anniversary. Everything about our stay was wonderful. Our only suggestion is to get a TV for the bedroom. Thank you for making our mini-moon perfect!
We had a short stay during my wife’s spring break (she’s an art teacher). We both fell in love with the cottage and the surrounding pond. Everything was glorious and the breakfast is spectacular. Everything exceeded our expectations and the cottage was kept to a wonderful standard. You can tell the owner takes pride in listing this wonderful cottage
Highly recommend this property if you are searching for a peaceful and relaxing stay. Beautiful views from the rocking chairs on the front porch. Close to all attractions, but nestled away from the business of life. Breakfast is delicious!

Fabulous, relaxing and well needed.
Very quaint little cottage, in a quiet area. If you want to relax, unwind and enjoy time with a loved one, this is definitely the place. I intend to return again.
The best thing about the property was the peacefulness. The property was clean and well taken care of, any questions were answered quickly. The house is a few miles away from everything, but that no big deal for us.
We loved everything about this little cottage. Quiet, relaxing and surrounded by farmland. I could live here! Although we knew breakfast was coming, it was still the sweetest surprise when it arrived. Just a perfect touch. Will stay again when we come back to Amish country.
Perfectly nestled in a country setting is this beautifully decorated cottage. It may look small but... you'll be surprised. The lower level hosts the bedroom and master bath. The main level... living room and kitchen divided by an island. The upper level is an enclosed half bath and a romantic garden jacuzzi tub room overlooking the country scenery. The breakfasts that were delivered to our door were phenomenal! There was lots to do in the surrounding areas as well. We especially enjoyed The Amish Country Theater and Yoder's home and farm tours. We look forward to returning to explore the activities we couldn't fit into our 5 day stay. Overall, the perfect place to spend our anniversary.
Very well maintained and beautiful front porch to sit on. Lots of steps to the bedroom so not good for any one who has difficulty walking. We enjoyed the breakfast one morning, too.
It’s a beautiful location and very peaceful! The house was just as described and very clean. I would highly recommend staying here! The breakfast you can order is outstanding!
Everything was clean. Food menu was exactly as stated. Atmosphere was comfortable and relaxing - away from the hustle & bustle. Communication and check-in was great. I would recommend it.
Cute little cottage in a central location for all that Amish country has to offer--perfect for an anniversary getaway

About the host
Hosted by Martha Swartzentruber
Tobie was raised on an Amish farm here in Ohio. He decided to leave the Amish and left home on his eighteenth birthday. Martha was raised Mennonite and while we appreciate alot of the good things we were taught we left the Mennonite church three years ago. We now attend a small home group in Sugarcreek. Tobie also owns his own business called Cornerstone Masonry. We love family and realize the importance of building lasting relationships.
Why they chose this property
When we climbed the hill to see this property it was the view that took our breath away. Then Tobie spotted a dip in the pasture outback where he envisioned a pond. We fell in love with it right away because of the country and the wide open space. We still dream of putting a pond in the pasture and putting more stone cottages around it.
What makes this property unique
We planned and built our brick home in 2003. A few years later we purchased the cottage where Martha's sister lived till 2012. In 2005 Martha's mother moved out in a property next to ours. It was in 2012 that we built the big brick shop and decided to put a loft on top of it. Now we are so happy that we get to share this beautiful setting with guest who want to relax and get away from the pressures of life. Nothing relaxes you quite like taking in an awesome quiet country view or enjoying a majestic sunset on a warm summer evening.
