The Cayo Cabin, Millersburg Ohio

The Cayo Cabin is a 14 X 36, solid pine log cabin, built by a local building company, and located in the heart of Ohio s Amish Country. We are only 5 minutes to downtown Berlin Ohio. The Cabin features a queen bed built by a local Amish owned company, and a pull-out queen sofa sleeper in the living room to accommodate extra guests. The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, stove, pots, pans, microwave, basic seasonings, and oil should you want to do any cooking, as well as a coffee grinder, french press, and coffee maker for your caffeine needs. There is a washer and dryer located in the bedroom for your convenience should you need to do any laundry during the course of your stay.
The Cayo Cabin is located halfway between Berlin and Millersburg, Ohio, in the heart of beautiful, Holmes County Ohio.
We are less than a 1/4 mile off of State Route 39, the primary artery running through Holmes County.

We are just a short drive from all the attractions our area offers Including:
Handcrafted Furniture,
Excellent Shopping,
Many Restaurants and Coffee Shops.

Take a scenic drive through areas like, Charm, New Bedford, and many country roads, places that remain untouched by time, a landscape dotted with picturesque Amish homesteads.

Be sure to take a stroll on the Holmes County Trail in Millersburg where you will be sharing the trail with many bikers and buggy’s, making there way in and out of Millersburg and surrounding areas.

-Location: The Cabin is located right beside the township road, we do have neighbors around it.

- PARKING: Parking is provided in the driveway. Our driveway is suitable for sedans or SUVs. If you have a larger/longer truck(s) or if you have more than one car, you can park in our large driveway just up the hill.

Just far enough off the main drag, yet close to Berlin and Millersburg. Cabin was cozy and had all the amenities. Would recommend and stay again.

Hello, I’m Lamar, I’ve lived in the Holmes County, Ohio area my entire life. I spent my formative years growing up on a dairy farm just outside of Mt. Hope where we milked around 50 cows. In 2006, Dad was forced to sell the farm due to being injured in an incident on the farm. At that point in time, I was first introduced to the world of hospitality when my parents bought a 46 acre property called Tranquil Acres Cabins, where they have rental cabins. For years I observed them running Tranquil Acres, and occasionally helping with projects that my Dad needed help with, while working other jobs.
In more recent years, I have taken a more active role in Tranquil Acres Cabins, as well as now hosting guests here at the Cayo Cabin.
The thing I enjoy the most about hospitality is the opportunity to meet great people from other states and even internationally.

I (Laticia) too have lived in this area my entire life and with the different travels my husband and I have done realize how unique the area we call home is and am glad that so many of you have an interest in visiting Holmes County. I have also been involved in hospitality over the years, I worked at a hotel and loved the different aspects involved in hospitality and am excited to be able to create a space for you to enjoy.
We are both currently self employed and our long term goal is to be able to work in hospitality full time since we both enjoy it.
