2 blocks from the train in Kensington, situated on a family oriented block is a different type of house. Unlike the bland new-construction. This: full of color, culture & art collected from all over the world. handcrafted by us, family & friends. 2 stories tall w/ a steep staircase, main bdrm has a lofted bed w/ spiral stairs, the doors; old temple doors from India, the shower: wet-rm w/ limestone carving from Bali, all surfaces are concrete thru-out. The art is edgey. Not for kids. Feel 🥰
The space
The 1st floor is an open floor plan, very simple & showcasing some local painters and sculptors.
Center in the room is a handmade cannabis-leaf resin coffee table made from a old door.
The couches are infact foam mattresses for additional guests, the pillows were handmade.

The kitchen: is slowly turning into an Islamic-geometry-inspired-kitchen, accented by groutless limestone geometric tiles, floating concrete shelves.
the very purple, very high handmade cabinets, simple cabinet hardware from Indonesia.
a custom concrete countertops and a very large-very heavy custom concrete corner sink.

the 1st floor bathroom: is fun, a step-down Roman-style shower and tub.
the toilet is a high-tank for saving space, featuring a small wall mounted sink.

The 2nd floor bathroom contains another large custom concrete sink, a custom concrete wetroom with a rainmaker shower-head, flat riverstone tiled floor, a large tub with enough space for candles and plants. the wall features a handcrafted balinese limestone plaque displaying the battle of rengda and barong.. Surrounded by accent tilework. the toilet features a basic hand sprayer style bidet.

The hallway has some of our unfinished artwork hanging, a beaded sculpture from Mexico, and a set of mid-1800s temple doors from India leading to the master bedroom.

the master bedroom: has 4 wooden drawers, a ( unfinished) miniature closet.
a red fainting couch, and a small walk-in closet section for hanging stuff up.
the handmade spiral staircase was fashioned out of scrap-woods leading up to the lofted queen-sized bed with a mini-split unit directly across from the foot of the bed on the wall.
There are accent lights up there, and a short nook shelf all around and with a roku powered flat screen tv.

The guest bedroom is quite normal compared to the rest....but the bed is abnormally comfortable
Guest access
guests can use the common places.

Things that are **locked are OFF-LIMITS**
That includes the basement, the safe in the master bedroom, the other closet door in the master bedroom, the cabinet in the kitchen. IF it looks like personal belongings, it is. please don't touch it or steal it.
THE SIDE YARD IS OFF LIMITS, There are building materials and various other dangerous things out there. I am not liable for any injuries if you don't listen. keep the door to the side-yard secured shut please.
Other things to note
just relax, enjoy yourself. get comfortable.
go out, eat good food, explore the old history and the developing history of Philadelphia. have fun. go see a concert, appreciate the diversity.

**we have cats, although the house has been cleaned, & they do not live there currently, to try and mitigate any problems there are waterproof allergen covers under all the linens of the beds and the couches.
please be aware of the potential for small remnants (strands of hair) and the potential reaction in people with severe allergies to pets**
