We stayed here for our winter trip with friends and family. The cabin is very conveniently located close to HWY 4, close to grocery store, restaurants, coffee shop, but also close to recreational places like White Pines Lake or Calaveras Big Trees Park. It has fully equipped kitchen, garage with table tennis table, beatiful balcony with views. It also features a great layout and very comfortable beds.Communication with the host was wonderful, we got all our answers right away and they were very accommodating towards our needs.
This cabin is great - has all you need for a long or short stay. Its central location makes it easy to get to the amenities as well as local eateries. There is little cell service so be mindful of that prior to arrival.
While we arrived and the house was not quite ready for check in, the host made every effort to remedy quickly and ensure we had a nice stay. Thank you!
We needed a place near the Snowflake Lodge for only one night. This place fit the bill. For some reason this booking never showed up in the VENMO app. That made it very difficult to get check-in instructions. Also, there was no cell reception for T-Mobile and Verizon. So download EVERYTHING you might need before you get there. WiFi at the property was reasonable. Small irritations: Three light bulbs were burned out, we found one replacement bulb. Was not told dishwasher wasn't working until minutes before walking in the door...good thing we were not intending to use the dishwasher. Owner/Manager was responsive and very nice to interact with. This is a big plus. Overall, high rating and would recommend this property. ~
Great place to stay! The house was just as described in the listing. Very clean and cozy. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything. We really enjoyed hanging out on the deck. Next time we'll stay for longer!
The property was nice and very comfy. We did bring a baby gate as we had a 2 year old with us. It worked perfectly. The beds were comfy, and although we were there on the hottest day for a wedding (94), the fans throughout kept the air flowing. A lot of games, nice seating, big TV.
This home was very comfortable and clean. The wood stove added to the cozy atmosphere. The property met our party's needs. This was ideally located near our friend's cabin and perfect for heading up to Bear Valley. We stayed 3 nights. We cooked one night and found the kitchen more than adequate. This home was better stocked than many we have experienced. I slept well each night and the master bed was very comfortable. We experienced significant rain and wind all 3 days and we stayed safe and dry without worry. The listing noted a hot tub when we booked and this was not an amenity on site. We were disappointed and the listing appears to have been updated. The steep driveway is intimidating. I would stay here again but maybe not if ice and snow are expected.
What a gem in a great location in Blue Lake Springs, we had a great Christmas and Birthday week stay. Perfect for our family of 4, each kid had their own room and we could have brought 3 more with the bunk beds. Master bedroom was very comfortable and love the sliding door to the deck. Best part though was making a fire every night in that wood burning stove. Heated up the whole house. Highly recommended and we will be back in the summer!

What makes this property unique
Star Gazer is a a special place where our family has been enjoying the stars for the last 20 years. We have watched our children grow and enjoy the Cabin in every season. It is a cozy, comfortable place that we still use often but just not as much as we did when the kids were younger, so we decided to open it up for a few weekends a year to let others enjoy the beautiful mountains and experience the reset it always brings us.
