There was NO hot tub, the bed in the master suite needs to be replaced asap, it folded me like a taco. Other than that it was nice.

This is definitely not your conventional vacation place to stay - a working farm, log cabin portions, modern kitchen appliances hidden in plain sight behind old farmhouse cabinets, eclectic decor that you can spend hours browsing and looking at so many unique items. But it was exactly what I was looking for and everything turned out very well. Thank you!

Thanks for that response! The farm is not meant to be conventional—-it’s meant to be an experience and I’m so glad you loved it! I treasure history, and lost things, and novel things. I want a beautiful place full of books and music and light. You were excellent guests.

Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, listing accuracy
The entire home was clean with exception of the kitchen. The host apparently harvested grapes prior to our arrival and gnats/fruit flies innovated the kitchen which made it almost impossible to cook or eat without gnats getting in your food or drinks. Host would not take any responsibility. If you plan to cook, I would recommend bringing your own cooking items as the kitchen is shared with the host and we found it to be disorganized and found dishes and cooking items that did not appear to be very clean. There is very little prep area in kitchen due to items are stored on counter and even inside the ovens. Recommend communicating with host directly through the VRBO website. There was miscommunication that occurred through the phone conversation I had with the host. Be aware there is very limited internet or phone service connection from the home. The home is as described but all bedrooms are upstairs so make sure you are able to go up and down multiple steps. The host informed us after we made the booking. Bed in master bedroom upstairs is very lumpy and not comfortable. There is no sauna or fitness area in the home that we were aware of.

Nature is Nurture and Tranquility

This is our second stay at this beautiful property. We rang in the New Year at Mandolin Ridge and it was beautiful. We were greeted with the birth of two baby goats which was quite auspicious. The home is spacious and like going to a comfortable, beautifully appointed museum. Each room has hidden delights. A feast for the eyes indeed. The host, Loribeth, is considerate and warm as well detail oriented. It is clear she wants to provide excellence! Mandolin Ridge and Loribeth really deliver.
