The house was great...everything we could hope for. We have been to Nantucket many times, and have rented many houses. This one was possibly the most comfortable of all. The floor plan/upside down house style is perfect for groups. The kitchen is very well stocked with equipment as well as spices. If you want to cook, the cookware is there...We had a marvelous time, and the house played a major role in that. I would definitely rent this home again.

We're so happy that you enjoyed the house. When we're there, we also find it's a comfy place to hang out with friends and family. And cooking is part of the fun (thus the spices and multiple bottles of balsamic vinegar).
Great vacation house! My family, 6 of us altogether, stayed for 2 weeks and were very comfortable here. The kitchen is fully equipped and there were plenty of towels, beach chairs, bikes, games and puzzles and even a printer - I little bit for everyone! Wifi was great, my kids brought their Nintendo Switch and they were able to easily hook it up thanks to the detailed instructions provided!
The neighborhood is nice and quiet with close proximity to the Tom Nevers beach and Sconset.
We would definitely recommend and hope to stay here again in the future!
We had a wonderful stay at this property. House was clean and well maintained as well as the yard. Wifi worked well and there lots of games, puzzles, and amenities for the beach. Highly recommend this stay!
This is a nicely appointed "upside down" house off Tom Nevers Road. Well maintained and very comfortable. Good location -- short drive to a fabulous Nantucket beach!
We loved the house and the location! There was plenty of space for six adults, a baby, and a dog to enjoy being together for a week. The kitchen has everything you need, and we loved having bicycles available for our use. It's peaceful and quiet, and we would definitely rent the house again.

All you could need.
Three good size bedrooms and two full baths on the first and a large, private master bedroom with large full bath on the second. Second has open floor plan as well, including kitchen area with breakfast counter, dining area with seating for eight and living area with couch, loveseat, two rockers and an overstuffed chair and ottoman. You can access the large deck from the living area and master bedroom. There is also a nice front porch with a rocker and bench. Very private lot with room for kids to play. It is just two miles or so from Sconset, a quick car ride or nice bike ride. The kitchen is well stocked for all your cooking needs and there are plenty of beach towels, blankets and household supplies. Highly recommended.

About the host
Hosted by Celeste Theis
Ellis Island is owned by a small group of long-time friends who met many years ago in graduate school at Brown University. We came to Nantucket on vacation and fell in love with the natural beauty and historical quaintness of the island.
Why they chose this property
This is a wonderfully comfortable house in a quiet, private neighborhood. There is a large yard, perfect for playing croquet or frisbee. A great, kid-friendly house perfect for a couple of families to share. It is a short drive to town, the ferry, the airport, Sconset, and the beach.
What makes this property unique
We love: - The peace and quiet of Tom Nevers. - Morning coffee on the deck, listening to the birds. - Reading a book in the rocking chair on the front porch in the late afternoon. And in between: going to the beach, shopping, biking, walking.
