Greyhawk Condo 09 - Mountain Getaway in Warm Springs

This 2-bedroom plus loft/3-bath condo is two levels with a second-floor entry and is one of our closest properties to the lifts. The unit offers pleasing accommodations with moderate furnishings and some updated features. The condominium has a full kitchen and a dining table that seats 8. The living room has a wood-burning fireplace, a 42-inch flat-screen TV with cable and streaming, a CD player, as well as wireless internet access and a small balcony. This unit does not have A/C.

The master bedroom has a queen bed, a 13-inch TV, and its own bathroom with a tub and shower. The TVs in the loft and second bedroom are for DVD/Game use only. The second bedroom has two twin beds and access to a hallway bath. The loft has a queen bed, a bathroom with a shower, and a walk-in closet. The loft is open to the living room below. The washer/dryer is located in the hallway between the two bedrooms. This condo is approximately 1200 square feet and will sleep 6 guests.

Complex Features: The Greyhawk Condominiums are located in Warm Springs, about one block from the Warm Springs lifts on Bald Mountain and Après ski spots. This complex features a seasonal pool heated to 102° in winter, a sauna, and coin-operated laundry facilities. The pool opens for the winter season just a few days before Christmas and closes after ski season. The pool opens for summer in late-June and closes in early October. There is a free shuttle that picks up just half a block away from the condo, which will transport you to downtown Ketchum and the Sun Valley Resort. Parking is limited to two cars per condo, and the homeowner's association does not allow vacation renters to bring pets.

Please note: No pets allowed. This unit is professionally managed, and all check-ins are at the Alpine Lodging Office, conveniently located on South Main Street in Ketchum. Self-check-in is not available at the property. We strive to make check-in as quick and easy as possible so you can start enjoying your vacation! Reservations are unit-specific. We do everything possible to keep your reservation in the same property you’ve reserved. If the property has a maintenance emergency, we will contact you with the option to move your reservation to a property of equal or greater value, at no additional cost.

Great location

Short walk to warm springs lifts and ski rentals and Apple’s. 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms made it spacious enough for a family of six. Nice view of the hill also and lifts.

Also is equiped with everything you need for cooking, hot tub and everything is very nice, I highly recommend this property. The description is very accurate in regards of the amenities and location. My only complaint would be that for check out you have to go to downtown Ketchum to return the keys to the leasing office and is a little inconvinient if you need to go to the airport afterwards.

Everything was fine except for two things: (1) the toilet seat in the downstairs main bedroom was loose when we arrived; and (2) there was very little firewood on the deck for the fireplace, although we didn't have any fires while we were there. g

I’m not sure the listing stated that there were 14 stairs to climb to the unit front door. This was challenging for me. Also the parking situation at Greyhawk was challenging. Given a pass for the upper or only then a pass for upper and lower. The snowplow would knock on your door to move your car so he could clear, which was inconvenient. Sometimes there were no spots available in the upper lot.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Grayhawk 10 last year. Grayhawk 9 this year. Three bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and in-unit laundry in both is great. Modern and clean and a nice view of the slopes from both units. Only issue is having to go up and down the stairs with skis, especially after a long day of skiing. On our last day, an owner said something about storing his skis in or close to the communal laundry room but I didn’t check it out. Other issue was 3 families in our 3 bedroom but only allowed 2 parking passes. Understandable for busy times but our week was not busy and we still had to move cars around daily for fear of getting booted.

It's was great to have 3 full bathrooms!

Great overall, but there was no patio or balcony to sit as a small group to enjoy the outside views. The plus side to this condo was there were 3 Full size bathrooms, so it's was wonderful not to be waiting. Plenty of linen & kitchenware, etc.
