What a romantic spot... my fiancee and I got engaged one month prior to this vacation and we could not have imagined a more idyllic spot to celebrate that occasion together. If you want to experience authentic Greece and get away from the blue and white roofed tourist lures, come to this spot, you won't be disappointed! The property is a dual unit set on a hill right off the small mountain road that weaves throughout the village of Agios Georgios. We were very comfortable at the "Venus" guesthouse, it had all the amenities we needed - AC, large comfortable bed, small stove for the few times we cooked. We spent most of our time outside in the stone patio though, watching the sunsets and admiring the mountain/sea views. Michael and Marianthi were very accommodating and provided us with brochures for activities in the Pelion area. They also came once during our stay to tidy up, provide fresh towels & bed turndown which was much appreciated.
We loved the village of Agios Georgios! It is a great area for avoiding the crowds, especially in June when we visited (apparently it gets a little busier in months of July & August). The food at the local tavernas was incredible, and the wait staff spoke little but enough English to get by. Weather in June was ~75-85 F, a few stray showers and windy at times, but overall sunny. There's plenty to do in Pelion, beaches, hiking, shopping, exploring, historical sites, proximity to Volos, 2 1/2 hr ferry ride to island of Skiathos.
Some minor suggestions for improvement to house: add more light in kitchen/living room area, lounge chair for outdoor patio :) Overall 5-star vacation, would highly recommend to all family and friends!!
