SHADY OAK FARM – PRIVATE LUXURY RETREAT & YEAR-ROUND RESORT-STYLE STAY

Shady Oak Farm is a 32-acre private estate designed for guests seeking space, comfort and a resort-style experience in a peaceful, secluded setting. This luxury vacation rental offers a unique blend of privacy, recreation and elevated amenities, making it ideal for families, groups and multi-generational stays.

The home features five spacious bedrooms, six bathrooms, large TVs in every bedroom and multiple indoor and outdoor gathering areas. The layout comfortably accommodates groups while still providing private spaces to relax and unwind.

SUMMER SEASON
Heated pool open May 1 through September 30

During the warmer months, guests have access to the heated saltwater pool, multiple outdoor seating areas and a cedar-finished pool house equipped with a bathroom, refrigerator, screened porch and 65-inch TV. The outdoor space is designed for extended stays, relaxation and group enjoyment.

A 7-person hot tub is also available year-round for additional comfort and relaxation.

HOLIDAY SEASON
Holiday décor displayed November 1 through January 31

During this period, the property is fully decorated with seasonal trees, festive décor and thousands of sparkling lights throughout inside and outside of the estate. Guests can enjoy the hot tub, fire pit, karaoke lounge and private theater in a fully prepared holiday setting.

All seasonal decorating is completed before arrival, allowing guests to simply enjoy the atmosphere without any setup required.

YEAR-ROUND AMENITIES

Indoor features include a karaoke lounge with JBL speakers and microphones, multiple TVs, an 85-inch theater screen with Bose surround sound, a Velodyne subwoofer, reclining leather seating, a game room with ping pong and poker, a custom bar and a fully equipped kitchen designed for group use.

Outdoor amenities include a year-round hot tub, fire pit with supplied firewood, swing set, cornhole, picnic areas, open grassy spaces, walking trails and a private fishing pond. Additional family-friendly items such as toys, board games, a high chair and a Pack ’n Play.

This home may be my favorite place I’ve ever booked for a group! Very well-managed property with every single detail carefully planned for maximum comfort. The basement rec room area was just such an added bonus to the pool area. The property was surrounded by fields of gorgeous trees that amazed us all! A wonderful stay and great host.

The house and property is FANTASTIC. Kim is a dream host. The best host we’ve encountered by far.The pool is fantastic with lots of floats and toys. The kids were there ALL day! Can’t wait to return!!!

The house was amazing and was perfect for getting my immediate family together in all one place! Kim was an amazing host and the house was truly prepped for guests with lots of special extra touches! Fully stocked kitchen made cooking a breeze. Plenty of towels and loved having pool towels there! Made packing so much easier. Plus the baby float was an added bonus!! Great experience! Thank you!!

Once we learned of a family wedding in Newburg, we started looking for a place where our large family could stay--and spend quality time together. We found this stunning home--and are SO glad we did. Our stay was absolutely perfect! We all agreed this was our best vacation rental--and best vacation--ever. The host thought of everything to make us feel welcomed and at home. The home was replete with pool toys, toys for small kids, movies in the movie theater, smores for the fire pit, towels, fully stocked kitchen, outdoor playset, hot tub, cornhole, BBQ grill, and ping pong--to name just a few. This spacious home was beautifully decorated--even more lovely than the photos (I know, hard to believe). The gracious host provided instructions for everything--and recommendations for restaurants and activities in the area. We also enjoyed walking the secluded, 32-acre property and fishing in the pond. We made wonderful memories and hope to return.

The home was immaculate and beautifully decorated! Everything that is in the listing is accurate and even better than we expected. Our host, Kim, was exceptionally helpful from the time of booking and during our stay. Everything was well stocked and the large rooms made it so we never felt crowded and had plenty of space to gather for family activities. Cannot say how wonderful our trip was and made many new and happy memories….absolutely 5 stars!! Thank you, Kim!!

This house is just beautiful! The pool is incredible. There are multiple spaces to hang out as a group both inside and out. The property is stunning and quiet. Kim thought of everything! The entire house had instructions and directions. They thought of everything before we ever had to ask. From the amenities to the communication we could not have been more pleased with our stay!

Family Vacatilln

We all had a great time at Shady Oak farm. The house was spotless and beautifully decorated. The grandkids loved the theater room and we all spent a lot of time in the awesome pool and enjoyed the squirt gun wars and the cornhole. The beds were very comfortable. Kim was an awesome host and her husband quickly resolved a minor issue with the toilet in the pool house.

Wedding Weekend

Our out of town family stayed with us at this beautiful home. The house is beautifully appointed and very well equiped with everything you need. The downstairs theater and ping pong table were a huge hit with all of kids (young and old). The kitchen has everything you need and the bedrooms are comfortable as well as beautiful. The outdoor fire pit was a relaxing end to our busy days. And the kids enjoyed exploring the property. Thank you for allowing us to stay at your beautiful home.

Family Stay

We had an amazing stay at this property with our family!The house was absolutely perfect - spacious, super comfortable, meticulously clean and thoughtfully equipped with everything we could need. The owners were fantastic with communication, making sure we had all the information we needed for a smooth stay. We loved that they left directions and labels so we could easily use everything in the home, especially electronics. The movie theater room was a hit with everyone, and the hot tub provided a perfect way to relax after a long day of activities. There was plenty of room for all of us to spread out and enjoy our time together. I highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a cozy and well-equipped getaway!

We had a spectacular stay with 3 generations of my family. The property was beautiful and quiet and the pool exceeded our expectations. We were lucky enough to see a bald eagle fly by us in the pool. What a treat! The kitchen was well equipped as was the entire house. Kim communicated quickly and was extremely responsive. We have stayed in many VRBO rentals over the years, but this one ticked all the boxes and we hope we can make it back there again. One thing to note is that each bedroom has only 1 bed, so it did cause some discussion amoung my teens but that being said, the beds were very comfortable!! Thanks again Kim

Perfection for a relaxing family trip with children

Kim was a fabulous host; she thought of so many details to make our stay comfortable and easy and was exceptionally responsive to questions. The house is simply beautiful as are the surrounding grounds. Home, grounds and pool were all spotless. We were there with children ages 2-7 and the play area, pool, fire pit for s'mores and long driveway for bikes and scooters were all fabulous. Walking down to the small pond to look at the frogs and turtles was a favorite activity as well. You will drive a bit for activities in the area, but we enjoyed the rail trail for biking, a local playground and Kim's recommendation of the local park. Dinner on the Potomac the last night was beautiful which was selected from Kim's recommendations also. We may well be back. Thank you!

Great weekend!

We had a great stay at The Farm, and the accommodations were perfect for our group. The outdoor temps were SO high during our stay, so we spent most of our time in the pool - which was gorgeous and clean. Also, the property had great additions to make our trip with two toddlers really comfortable and fun. Check-in and checkout were simple and the host Kim was extremely responsive and helpful. I’d recommend having a high chair or booster seat on hand for future visitors. Also, we are a diverse group with folks from all walks of life - so the overtly pro-police cornhole set wasn’t a big hit. I’d reconsider that addition for future guests. Overall, our stay was amazing and everyone left feeling well-rested and happy. We’d love to book again in the future!

The house was beautiful and so spacious! It was immaculately clean and tastefully decorated. The bedrooms were beautiful and everyone said their room/bed was so comfortable. The bathrooms were clean and quite stylish. There are so many areas of the house to gather and spend time together. From the kitchen and family room (always a central area when it's time to eat), the screened porch, outside decks and pool/hot tub, to the game room and theater, there is no shortage of fabulous places to gather. The location is very close to the wedding venue, The Pavilion at Weatherly, which made it a perfect location for us to house family for the son's wedding. The setting is quiet and peaceful which allowed us to relax before and after the wedding. No long drive necessary and no noise. Kim was a fabulous host. She quickly responded to our messages and was very accommodating . We met her shortly after check in as she was doing a final check on the hot tub and she was as friendly in person as she was in her messages and so welcoming. The small touches of microwave popcorn in the bar area outside the theater, assorted snacks in the kitchen, and soaps and toiletries in the bathroom were an added plus. There was plenty of parking on the side of the house to accommodate all our vehicles. Kim has a well put together binder in the house that lists activities/restaurants in the area. We will definitely consider another family stay in this incredible house!

This was our second stay here and loved it as much as the first!! So well equipped and spacious…10 family members of all ages, all from out of state, and we all decided to rebook for our vacations again this year! Enjoyed every day!! Our host was quick to reply to any questions, before and during the stay, which was wonderful. Already considering a trip back next year and just left a few hours ago!
