About this property
Forever views from HOT TUB overlooking Kenai National Wildlife Refuge near river
EXCLUSIVE VIEW PROPERTY! LARGE, CUSTOM POST & BEAM HOME OVERLOOKING KENAI NATIONAL WILDLIFE REFUGE. 14 YEARS IN OPERATION WITH 100% FIVE STAR REVIEWS. PERFECT FOR LARGE FAMILY/FRIEND GROUPS. HOT TUB ON DECK WITH FOREVER VIEWS.
Raven's Bluff House is unique among properties in the central Kenai Peninsula. With 5 bedrooms, 3 baths, two full kitchen/living areas, a large deck and outdoor lawn area, your group will have plenty of space to relax, gather, rest, and recharge in the Alaska wilderness.
An architectural gem, this custom-built post and beam home boasts 30 ft vaulted ceilings...making the view inside the home a perfect compliment to the vast and spectacular vista outside. There is simply no better view in the area...guests often comment that the pictures do not do it justice, and frankly, it's just not possible to capture what awaits you. Many guests say they loved the home so much they wished they'd planned less sightseeing trips and just spent more time at this unique property. We are proud of our 11 year history in business and our 5 STAR guest review streak over that entire period. We've taken great feedback from our guests and every year make an investment in improving Raven's Bluff in any way we can to make sure our guests have a wonderful vacation.
Many upgrades have been made to the house in the last few years, including high-end kitchen appliances, a 6-person hot tub on the deck, new lighting, quality furniture and bedding/towels, large smart TVs, heating systems, ceiling fans, landscaping, new roofs, rooftop solar, new Anderson doors and windows, custom blackout blinds, and every kitchen gadget imaginable including new Nespresso machines in each kitchen.
Raven's Bluff House has two separate units, the upper which has 3 bedrooms/2 baths and the lower (Bear Den) which has 2 bedrooms/1 bath. They are not connected internally and you'll need to access through an outside door, which allows for great privacy for larger groups.
Alaska is a wonderland of natural beauty and amazing resources, which our family has spent generations protecting through conservation efforts. We welcome you to our vacation home where you too can become a 'Sourdough' and share in this unique experience. The home is available year round. Winter travelers will be rewarded with an incredible show of colorful northern lights and millions of stars in the dark Arctic night. Nearby winter activities include cross-country skiing, ice fishing, snowmobiling, and hot beverage drinking! Summer guests will be rewarded with midnight sun, vast and expansive views, solitude, wildlife, and world-class salmon and halibut fishing.
The house is centrally located in Sterling which makes day trips to both Homer and Seward possible for touring both Kachamak and Resurrection Bays with their incredible wildlife, fishing, shopping and history.
Multi-generational families taking their once-in-a-lifetime trip to Alaska will especially appreciate this property. The house comfortably sleeps 10 people.

About the host
Hosted by Juniper Neill
Raised in Alaska...this property was our family homestead. We lived a subsistance lifestyle here...which I didn't fully appreciate until I was grown up! Now I live and work overseas, but Alaska, and this property, will always be our home. I work in international conservation, and growing up in Alaska gave me a real appreciation for protecting our planet's most amazing natural places...this area being one of them!
Why they chose this property
There is no place like this in the whole world. We love coming home from our work overseas to this special house and tranquil setting. I've worked in conservation in some of the most incredible landscapes in Africa and Asia, and this property, situated near both State and Federal protected lands, rivals any of the world class conservation areas I've visited.
What makes this property unique
We love to BBQ on the large back deck, overlooking the forest and distant mountain range. Nothing but trees for hundreds of miles! What a view! The birdsong in the morning, while enjoying coffee on the deck, is another favorite time of the day for me. Spending time at Raven's Bluff House is a great way to relax and just reconnect with your family in a quiet and peaceful place in one of the great natural ecosystems in the world.
