Family trip to Alaska

We vacationed to Alaska and used Walt’s Cabin for a few night while we were in the area doing some fishing and sightseeing. Was very convenient for our stay. The Property its self was gorgeous and the deck overlooking the River was a favorite way to start with a cup of coffee and end the day with a snack or beverage. Would love to have the opportunity to stay there again in future.

Comfy, well stocked vacation home

Loved staying here. It was comfortable for us with 5 adults, plenty of room to stretch out and good amount of cookware for meals cooked at vacation home. Thank you for having the things we couldn’t and didn’t want to fit in suitcase, condiments, sandwich bags, laundry soap, shampoo and bath soap etc. We enjoyed learning the family history of the cabin, loved having the moose visit in the yard, and observing the eagle and her babies in the nest. Perfect stay, thanks so much!

10 days in Walts Cabin was awesome. Perfect location to get around to Homer and seaward.

We had an awesome time at Walt’s cabin. It was very clean and right ton the river. We did ocean fishing, caught halibut, salmon, Lin cod and rockfish. Brought about 100 pounds of fish home with us. We took a float plain out of Kenia and it was a fabulous day salmon fishing with the bears! Highly recommend that trip. Our overall stay was wonderful!

Alaska trip

Wonderful! Wonderful! Great place right on the river. We were able to catch several salmon even though they were not really running yet. Would be amazing at the height of the run. Thanks Chuck for sharing this special place with us.

Bridgette and I are both life long Soldotna residents. It is our pleasure to have folks from other places around the globe, stay at this wonderful property on the Kenai River. You'll soon see what it is about this area that's kept us calling it home for so long. You will love your time here!

Why they chose this property

This property was purchased by the Stephan family many years ago. At that time, it was a little remote and secluded. Today while it is still secluded, it's definitely not remote. And, when the salmon are running, it's a great place to get a line wet and land a salmon.

What makes this property unique

What makes this property unique? It's seclusion, it's situation on the river, it's river access, the views and the overall warmth of the entire area.
