Quiet comfortable cabin on bank of Kasilof River. Stayed during sockeye run and enjoyed excellent fishing. Cabin is ideal for 2 -3 couples or a family. The friendly host is attentive to your needs. Would highly recommend the property
Perfect spot for a stay during an Alaskan vacation. Clean, practical, great access for fishing the river, and very quiet. Mike is a friendly, helpful host, and he goes above and beyond in helping ensure a great visit. Highly recommend Mike’s beautiful spot on the Kasilof!
This was a perfect spot to unwind and relax. The weather was amazing and the fishing was excellent. Mike was a wonderful host—friendly, responsive, and helpful. He went out of his way to make the stay enjoyable. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway.
Dear Mike and Kim,Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to spend an unforgettable vacation in your amazing home. It truly exceeded all our expectations — especially the private dock, where we had the most incredible fishing experience we've ever had! And that’s saying something, because we’ve been fishing for years and in many places. But nothing compares to the success we had during our stay at your property.Having your own dock is a huge bonus, and your home itself is just as impressive — beautifully designed, extremely comfortable, and clearly built with love and attention to detail. We especially appreciated how clean everything was — spotless! We’ve already started planning our next trip and are booking for next year, because honestly, we haven’t found a better place to stay in Alaska.Thank you again — we hope to stay with you many more times in the future. And to anyone considering this home: don’t hesitate — you will be 100% happy with your choice.See you next year!
Great setting RIGHT on the river with moose sighting one morning and eagles flying by regularly. Great host who was very helpful when we unfortunately had a flat tire on our truck one morning. Would love to stay agin some day.
Kim and Mike were super nice and sweet! Helped us make our Alaska vacation a memorable one. Can’t wait to come back again. Thank you sooo much for a wonderful stay! Aloha!
Cabin was perfect for fishing. Dock and fish cleaning station was amazing. Owner next door was really helpful and we had a lot of fun fishing with him. Couldn’t ask for a better place.
We really enjoyed our stay! It was an adorable place with all the amenities and a beautiful view of the Kasilof. Kim is a wonderful hostess and even dropped off freshly made strawberry rhubarb preserves and dog bowls for the pups. Thanks for a wonderful stay! We’ll be back.
This place was fully equipped with all necessities. Mike let us borrow any thing we needed like college for fish transportation, fish smoker, he was so family oriented and told us to let him know if we need anything. Kim was amazing point of contact before check in
This cabin did not disappoint. On the wasilof river with private dock. Immediately started fishing and catching salmon. So peaceful and quiet. Sitting on the dock drinking coffee and watching eagles fly over. Definitely would go back here
Exceptionally clean, plenty of space and beautiful views. The hosts did a fantastic job of communicating with us and sharing information about the area. We caught some fish off the dock, but also had the opportunity to use their fishing equipment (poles, nets, and coolers) to fish on the Kenai. Overall, it was a great experience and we would do it all over again!
We loved our stay at Drift Boat Pass. The house was perfect for our family of 5. We were able to relax, enjoy fishing, have bonfires and just soaking in the beauty of Alaska! We are keeping this on our “must return” list. Mike was so great to deal with. Our 4 year old just loved him! A true Alaskan gem!
This home is directly on the river. The dock allows you to watch eagles in and out of water several times a day. The moose come out in afternoons across river. The host is Fabulous. We spent 14 days in this great state and this was our favorite home. Get ready to relax and enjoy the beautiful landscape.
We loved our stay at the Drift Boat Pass! We were there for 5 nights with our family, several of whom fish and a few who do not. The house was in a stunningly beautiful spot on the river, and the dock was awesome for fishing as well as just enjoying the view from the benches. We caught fish every day we were there, and enjoyed being able to pop down to the river bank to drop a line in after the day’s other activities.
Kim and Mike were so kind and welcoming. They had fishing gear available at the house and were a great source of information during our stay. We would definitely stay again!
Magical setting, well equipped home, helpful managers.
I was traveling with my husband and 3 sons ages 17 - 25. We were awestruck by the view from the kitchen and living room. The home was clean, spacious and well equipped. There are a few flights of stairs right off the patio that lead to a private dock. Mike came out and showed us how to rig a set up for the fish that were running and even brought us some bait. A great neighbor to have.. We went hiking and exploring and on a few tours in the area but each night we would return to fish from the dock.. Every night at about 8 PM someone in our party would catch a 10-15 lb salmon. While fishing we saw bald eagles, seal and moose from the dock. We had a wonderful time.
We had very spotty internet service, and Verizon did not have very good coverage in the house, but on the dock by the river I could read all my email. I know people don't go to Alaska to be online but we did have a few things that we needed to respond to.
The house itself was perfect for us but I would suggest having a supply of extra blankets in the house.
Even with the internet issues I would stay there again, Mike and Kim went out of their way to supply fishing gear, coolers filet knives and their knowledge of the area.
If you have time to visit Homer, it is absolutely beautiful. The best food we had anywhere in Alaska was at The Flats Bistro, about 15 minutes away from the house.
This is a wonderful place! We greatly enjoyed our stay here in July 2023. Our kids love to fish, and Mike had all of the fishing gear set up, taught us how to catch salmon off the dock, and also how to fillet them. That was such a gift!! They fished many hours during our stay there and caught several salmon. The house was lovely, comfortable, great rooms. Also really enjoyed the PitBoss grill and outdoor deck area. Appreciated the close proximity to many places we visited during our stay there. Kim and Mike were both great with communication before and during our stay. Hope to stay here again in the near future!! A truly great VRBO!!
Had an awesome time staying at the Drift Boat Pass. Mike let us use all his fishing equipment and supplied us with bait. Caught several salmon right off the dock as we talked to the guided drift boats floating by. Couldn't ask for any better views. Would absolutely stay here again.
