About this property

Dumont Cabin - El Rito Cabins - Hermit’s Peak

Rustic mountain cabin built by Tony Roybal serving generations of guests on our 100+acre property! Recently updated with propane heater for winter rentals.

Small shower bathroom. Porch overlooks stream and canyon. Satellite WiFi guest access from main house.

Please, no pets.
The space
Please no pets. We need to protect our cabin from pet accidents. We need to prevent guest and family members allergic reactions. Unfamiliar surroundings can make animal behavior unpredictable. Please be aware that we have to be firm on this policy and with any pets guests will be asked to leave.

Multiple vacation rentals on our property and every one is unique. Newly updated with wood work, flooring, and newer amenities.

Adjacent to scenic meadow. Horse show pit, walking track, barbecue grill, Beaver Creek and nearby hiking. Map of property and Wi-Fi password on refrigerator.
Guest access

Other things to note
Newly updated with wood interior and newer furnishings and amenities.

We are on Google Maps as El Rito Cabins in El Porvenir NM. The highway is paved and well maintained all the way up to our cabins. We are 8 miles further up the mountain than the Castle in Montezuma and there are no markets so make sure you get your supplies in town before you come up! We provide bedding and a first set of towels. Good idea to bring extra towels.

Please no pets. We need to protect our cabin from pet accidents. We need to prevent guest and family members allergic reactions. Unfamiliar surroundings can make animal behavior unpredictable. Please be aware that we have to be firm on this policy and with any pets guests will be asked to leave.

Please enjoy barbecue and horse shoe pit between our Martin Cabin and Henry Cabin. Horse shoes hanging on tree. Please hang horse shoes back up after playing. Please enjoy stream across the road, hiking up the mountain beyond, and hiking behind A-frames across our meadow.

Enjoyed the stay
Thanks for the cabins. It was a fun 2 weeks. The dogs from the farm were very polite and fun to be around.
