This Country Cottage is located on Gowan Lake, on the Bruce Peninsula. It is equipped with a gazebo, generous decks overlooking spectacular country vistas and Gowan Lake with a spacious screened porch for eating and relaxing bug-free.
Cottage is for families and mature guests. There is a STRICT NO PARTIES POLICY
The Cottage rises in a country setting among evergreen, maple and apple trees, between the Niagara Escarpment and Gowan Lake, It is surrounded by the fragrance of luxuriant pine and cedars trees, offering spectacular sights of the escarpment ridge which reaches to Georgian Bay.

This is a large, modern country cottage on private 84 acres of land . This unique "House in a Park" is located on private park setting with a mixture of rolling pasture, wetlands, hardwood forest, and an uninhabited lake to look over from the house, from several decks and from the seasonal (late June-early Sept-- depending on the weather) salt water pool.
It features an outdoor in-ground 28 ft long saltwater pool (in use late June to Mid September ONLY)with a magnificent view of Gowan Lake and the Escarpment. The pool has a privacy fence on two sides and chain link fence on the other two sides in order to maintain the view of Gowan Lake and the Niagara Escarpment.
This uniquely designed; 2400 square foot Cottage has all the comforts of modern living in a country setting.
On the ground floor there is a large living room, half of which is sunken, with pine floors, exposed wooden beams, stone clad wood burning fireplace, TV with DVD, VCR , stereo system with iPod dock.
Off the living room is the dining room, with glass windows along the wall and a vaulted ceiling. A few steps down from the kitchen it has a spacious table where we enjoy the panoramic views of the surrounding countryside.
Connected to the dining room is a large fully equipped kitchen. This elegant country kitchen has Bruce Peninsula flagstone floor, butcher block counters and loads of cupboard space, large oven and refrigerator as well as a dishwasher, microwave and many other features. Because the dining area is located a few steps lower than the kitchen, the kitchen and dining area share a luxurious view of the surrounding country side, Escarpment, and Gowan Lake.
Leading off the kitchen and dining room is a comfortable den \ bedroom with a queen size fold out futon. Just outside this room and connected to the wraparound decks, is a large screened in porch to eat, relax and snooze away from the insects and sun.
Also on the ground floor is a three-piece bathroom (shower) and full laundry facilities (washer/dryer).
Located on the second floor is the master bedroom which has a king size bed (linens are provided) with cathedral ceiling, sitting area with hand crafted twig furniture and a second storey balcony that provides a great view of the surrounding escarpment, lake, and sunsets.
Attached to the main bedroom is an ensuite bathroom with a spacious glass enclosed shower, separate Jacuzzi tub, and separate room with toilet. This bathroom has a second door, so it is accessible to the main hallway.
There are two other bedrooms (both have queen beds) on the second floor, each of these rooms has a ladder leading up to two separate sleeping lofts, (and one loft has a double bed, the other a single).
Outside there are two decks, one at the front and one at the rear of the property to catch sun anytime off day or season. A third deck is located inside the pool enclosure. Ample seating for guests and any daytime guests includes outside dinning and lounging
A rustic gazebo is located at the far end of the garden and provides a quiet seating area to get way from it all.
The Cottage is located within close proximity to the world famous Bruce Trail for hikers of all ages and abilities. Spectacular Big Bay on Georgian Bay is a 5 minute drive.
NOTE: 1.During July and August rentals are for a full week starting and ending on Saturday
NOTE: 2. Gowan Lake is a small inland lake. It is shallow and marshy and is NOT suitable for swimming or boating. It is also a protected wetland. There are BEAUTIFUL sunsets over the water and teaming wildlife- all kinds of birds, ducks, geese, martens, etc.
NOTE: 3. There is strict NO PARTIES policy (and PLEASE no loud noise outdoors after 10 p.m.)
