From the living room you can access to the outdoor patio garden equipped with tables, chairs and parasol, ideal to dine outside and relax under the lemon tree.

Quaint and Peaceful

Wonderful quiet location in clean neighborhood. Grocery store, transit bus and train all within one walking block. House very well equipped with everything in good working order. Host very friendly and accommodating. We loved our 4 day stay here.

The communication was great and we knew just what we needed to do to access the property. It was much larger then we expected and the private patio was ideal. I loved that it had a washing machine. There are plenty of good restaurants within walking distance and a grocery store also. Both Rome and the beach were fairly close allowing us to go to both.

Quiet and spacious

The apartment is spacious and found it to be as described. Appreciated the clothes washing machine and did not use AC. Incredible advice and instructions on getting around and the communication was above and beyond, I always had very prompt replies to my questions. The ruins were amazing and the town is delightful.

Outside of Rome

Very close to bus stop great coffee shop around the corner and fantastic restaurant a few minutes away . Bed was very comfortable . Fridge filled with ice as it was not closing properly . And really think they need to supply coffee or tea for at least the first morning as we didn’t get to the grocery store till the next morning. Overall very nice

Good location and good value

We stayed at Lodge Under the Lemon Tree twice during our 2 week vacation in Italy. The ͞check in͟ process went smoothly and we were greeted by a delightful lady who made us feel like our Italian grandmother was welcoming us. The apartment was clean and had all promised items such as linens, dishes, pots and pans etc. Although all were mismatched, they felt charming and sort of ͞homey. The washing machine and drying rack were big pluses. The Wifi was reliable, the air conditioning worked and the host had a good supply of helpful information for tourists. The take- out pizza place around the corner proved to be a good option for a quick easy supper. Since we had a rental car, the Ostia Antica location worked well for us as a base for the area. The walk to town is quite doable but it would have been difficult to get enough or ovisions for our stay without a car. Although the train station is technically within walking distance, it’s a fairly long walk and like most roads in Italy is not pedestrian friendly. All in all, good location and good value.

eine Ruheoase unterm Zitronenbaum

Die Buchung der Privatwohnung unter dem Zitronenbaum – Ostia Lodge (das Objekt hatte meine Frau ausgesucht) war ein echter Glücksgriff. Wir haben eine zweckmäßig eingerichtete und saubere Wohnung vorgefunden und haben uns dort sehr, sehr wohl gefühlt. Allem voran möchten wir die hervorragende Kommunikation mit den Vermietern Stefano und Roberto hervorheben, die uns sehr herzlich empfangen haben. Als best service möchten wir erwähnen, dass sie für uns einen privaten Shuttle-Service für den Transfer von und später nach Fiumicino organisiert haben. Wir haben den Aufenthalt, insbesondere die ruhige Lage von Ostia Antica genossen, was nach den täglichen Sightseeing Touren in die ewige Stadt, eine willkommene Ruhezone war. Die Nähe zum Lido und die Erreichbarkeit mit der Metro (2 Stationen bis Lido Centro) ist optimal, es fährt zwar auch ein Bus, wir haben aber der Schnelligkeit wegrn die Metro vorgezogen. In unmittelbarer Nähe der Ostia Lodge befinden sich eine Bar und zwei Restaurants, die das typisch, italienische Flair vermitteln. Fazit: Ostia Lodge – absolut empfehlenswert und sehr gerne wieder…

Die Ferienwohnung hatte alles, was man für einen Kurzurlaub benötigt. Entfernung zum Bahnhof sowie Ostia Antica 20 Fußminuten. Perfekte Beschreibung zur ersten Orientierung vom Vermieter (sehr nett). Terrasse schön zum Essen im Freien. Nähe Flughafen mit entsprechender Geräuschkulisse.

Tolle Wohnung in Ostia Antica

Sehr schöne, große, gut aufgeteilte und sehr gepflegte Wohnung mit einer schönen Terrasse. Die ruhig gelegene Wohnung ist überdurchschnittlich gut ausgestattet und sehr sauber. Beim Check-in wurden wir von der Mutter des Vermieters, einer alten sehr freundlichen Dame, begrüßt. Sie hat sich viel Zeit genommen, uns alles gezeigt und unsere Fragen beantwortet, das war wirklich ein toller Empfang! Ausgewählt haben wir die Wohnung, weil wir Rom und Meer wollten, wofür sie ideal gelegen ist. Besondere Highlights sind die fußläufig gelegene Burg und die antike Ausgrabungsstätte von Ostia. Wir haben uns insgesamt in Ostia sehr wohl gefühlt.

Appartement spacieux avec un patio privé très agréable. Emplacement voiture gratuit près de la maison dans une impasse très calme . A 10/15 mn de la gare à pied où 5 mn en voiture ( vaste parking gratuit) 45 mn pour aller au centre de Rome ( train +métro ) et 10 mn en voiture pour aller à la mer Petit bémol : il n’y a pas assez de puissance wifi . Je recommande cette location. Je reviendrai avec plaisir

Wunderschöner Ort

Die Ferienwohnung ist groß und hell mit allem, was man in den Ferien braucht. Der Gastgeber Roberto ist sehr freundlich, und seine Mutter, die nebenan wohnt, hat uns sogar mit selbst gekochten traditionellen italienischen Kaffee warmherzig empfangen und uns frisch gepflückten Kirschen geschenkt. Ihr Sitz liegt sehr günstig, nah zu allem: Bahnhof, Geschäfte, insbesondere dem großartigen archäologischen Park, wo man ganzen Tag lang in die Geschichte der Antike "verweilen" kann, dies gibt einem ein unglaubliches Gefühl, als würde man zweitausend Jahre vor Christus leben... Mit dem Roma-Pass kommen wir jeden Tag mit dem Zug und U-Bahn reibungslos in die Stadt Rom. Ans Mittelmeer zu fahren dauert auch nur 15 Min., der Strand ist wunderschön! Die Wohnung hat uns gut gefallen und der Ort ist einfach perfekt und faszinierend.

Comfortable home outside of the city

Lovely home outside of Rome. Easily accessible to nearby town by walking and beach via the bus. The hosts were extremely responsive and helpful with everything. The apartment is equipped with everything that you can need and the outdoor space is private and beautiful. I truly enjoyed my stay and highly recommend this apartment

Ostia Lodge was an excellent choice

Ostia Lodge was a very nice property that was exactly as described and everything met our expectations. Stefano was very helpful by email and Roberto was a super host helping us during our stay. Nearby there is a really good pizza takeaway place (Pizza Taxi) and a supermarket which has just about everything you could need. With a car it's easy to get to any of Ostia's beaches, or if going to Rome you can park for free at Ostia Antica train station and get a 24-hour travel ticket for 7 Euro (children under 10 are free). Don't forget to visit Ostia Antica for an amazing ice cream. Thank you Ostia Lodge, next time we'll be staying in this area you'll be our number 1 choice!
