Saint Davids Cottage: Walk to Train, Main Street in the heart of Manayunk
Enjoy a memorable visit in this historic, three-story, Federal-style row home on a quiet alley in the Philadelphia neighborhood of Manayunk. Leave your car at home. Take the train to this charming two-bedroom cottage, a three-minute walk from Manayunk Station. If you want to drive, there is free street parking and a free lot nearby.
Spend time strolling Main Street, discovering countless eateries, & hiking on trails.
The space
Built in the early 1800s, this stone-front trinity is close to bustling Main Street in Manayunk. A trinity is unique to Philadelphia but means a three-story house with a room on each floor.
**Please make sure you are comfortable negotiating winding stairways.**
The house is cozy and perfect for a single person or one or two couples.
The house is small in scale but is outfitted with everything you need.
The first floor includes a kitchen, living room, and dining area. Stairs to the basement lead to the washer and dryer. A small patio with chairs is located in the back.
The second floor has a bedroom with a closet and a full bath. The hall closet is a supply closet and is locked.
The third floor has a bedroom with a full-sized bed.
Don't hesitate to get in touch with Heather about bringing your pet.
Guest access
Saint David's Cottage is two blocks from Main Street in the heart of Manayunk, a Philadelphia neighborhood treasure.
The easiest arrival is by train from 30th Street Station in Philadelphia on the Septa Norristown line. From the Manayunk station, it's a three-minute walk to the cottage.
If you arrive by car, safely stop in the street and unload your bags at the door. There is free street parking and a free unpaved parking lot two blocks away.
Pay close attention to posted parking signs and street stripes.
Other things to note
The stairs are the original, old-fashioned spiral stairs. While they are in excellent condition, they can be intimidating.
Toting large suitcases up the stairs is not advised; travel light.
Please be sure this is a good fit for you before booking the cottage.
There are fireplaces on the first and second floors. They are both permanently closed and inoperable.
Please do not attempt to build a fire in either location.

What makes this property unique
The Saint Davids Cottage is a historic home from Colonial Philadelphia. It is a trinity, which means a room on each floor.
Each floor is connected by original spiral stairs. Please make sure you are comfortable with this type of stair and do not have any mobility issues. It is recommended that you travel light, so you don’t have to carry large, heavy, or oversized suitcases up the stairs.
We renovated the cottage to preserve the historical features of both the interior and exterior, while adding updated and modern conveniences. We hope you enjoy your stay!
