About the host
Hosted by Deb Richio
Mother of 4; grandmother of 5. My parents purchased this camp when I was in middle school. It became my favorite place to be. The size and number of bedrooms allows me to have all my family at one time, on the rare occassion that is possible.
Why they chose this property
Relaxing on the beach is helped by the camp itself blocking the road; your seclusion is almost perfect. You are near the end of Sandbar Road which lessens the traffic. The sandy beach is great for play and for quiet relaxation. Little ones can enjoy the beach as the entry to the water is shallow and deepens gradually. The camp is in a cove between sandbars; boat traffic is slower until outside the cove area. The variety of wildlife is amazing. On rare occasions the bald eagle really does join us for lunch. With 6 bedrooms there is some separation of guests. Fires on the beach in the evening, toasting marshmallows and listening to the loons is a wonderful way to end a day.
