A great stay! Super clean and safe! The place was exactly as advertised. Don’t bring big suitcases though! It’s on the 3rd floor with 4 flights of steps!
The neighborhood was friendly. The apt was clean. Only hardship was 4 flights of stairs with luggage. If stairs was in the description of the rental we would not have chosen this property. Host was great.
This property was perfect for our quick weekend getaway trip. The check in process was very smooth and the apartment was very clean and modern. It has everything we needed and getting in contact with the Host was very easy in case of any emergencies. Would definitely stay here again!
The property was exceptionally clean, everything we needed was there. Property Manager was amazing and very helpful. Very secure. The only issue we had was it was very loud outside, but we can’t say enough good things about the property and the management.
We enjoyed our stay, the price was right too. This is a little distant from downtown in an area of town undergoing renewal (or will be). It is on a main street so there is traffic noise. To get downtown, you need to take a bus/train combo (but you're right on the bus route) or walk 15 min to the train (we preferred this). I recommend this as a budget option.
The property did not meet our expectations based on the listing. The address was listed as Boston, but upon arrival we learned it is actually located in Dorchester. This created confusion and required multiple phone calls, emails, and two Uber rides before we could even locate the correct property. When we arrived, we found the property situated directly above a restaurant, with a high level of street activity and noise outside. The exterior door to the building was often left open, which made us feel uncomfortable as two women traveling together. Because of these factors, we did not feel safe staying at the property and left shortly after arrival. We have used VRBO many times in the past with positive experiences, but unfortunately this one did not align with our expectations.

No parking, have to fight for a parking spot. A lot of street noise and it was very loud. The apartment was very clean and well furnished but no dish soap to do the dishes. Trying to get a hold of the owner wasn’t easy. We arrived later at night and couldn’t get in with the code as it was missing a number.
The check in process was not as smooth as expected. The code we were given didn’t work so we had to wait for a new code.
There are 3 FLIGHTS of Stairs you must climb with your luggage (no elevator ) 34 Steps !
The inside was lovely . Full kitchen and comfortable beds. Very Dangerous Urban and LOUD neighborhood. Taxi drivers won’t even pick you up there. The one washer & dryer was never empty. Same items just left in for days & days . We could never use it. Inside was very nice though. We just were too afraid to leave once we got back in, in the evening.
Our trip was amazing. Jean-Luc was very communicative and helpful. The unit is a third story walk up that is newly renovated, modern, clean and comfortable. The parking was rough. On-street only and you must mind the No Parking signs as they sweep the streets at night and will tow your car if you are parked when its time for a cleaning; side street parking was really crazy. Parking was extremely tight and other cars parked right up next to you. Hardly room to maneuver. Street noise is pretty bad most nights. We were there for weekdays and the weekend a couple weeks before the 4th of July. So, fireworks were going off in the neighborhood and the cops were using their sirens often. Cars would rev their engines and modified mufflers seemed to be popular. People would hang out in front of the building and talk til 1 AM...loudly. The building itself faces the main street while the entrance is on the side street. (We never heard the other tenants). On the first floor, main street side the building houses a chicken restaurant. It is definitely an urban setting. But, once you were in the unit, although you could hear the noise, we were relaxed and enjoyed the time. The convenience of the location was also important. Although we were in the suburbs of Boston, we were relatively close. We opted not to take public transportation which was a good thing as my girlfriend would have been reluctant to wait on the corner for a bus or get to the T. Clean, pricing, communication.
