My second time there, only had a few hours last time and enjoyed it so much I had to go back. Can't wait for the third beautiful historic property with great views
Amazingly relaxing. My in laws had a death in the family so it was just my husband I. Such a relaxing get away! I wish we had more time to spend and enjoy more of the riverfront from the gazebo. Decorations were so homey. Instructions were on spot. If we are ever planning on coming this way I will definitely rent here again!
Very clean and tidy home. The river was a lot further and really not in view from the home. We were only there for a very short period of time, the $125.00 cleaning fee is pretty high for sleeping in a bed and really not utilizing anything else (we did the dishes).

Property could use some maintenance.
The house itself was nice, but the exterior of the home could use some maintenance. We struggled with the door lock (which never worked) until the owner got back to us 30 minutes later with a different code to a different lock box. Unmown lawn, and dirty outdoor chairs kept us from enjoying the property and the river.
It is an old farmhouse, so expect creaky floors and an a/c that doesn't work the best (73 degrees is the lowest you can set it.)
But it does have its own charm, and we enjoyed our stay there.
The amenities were plentiful, the cleanliness was incredible (even knick knacks not a bit dusty!), floors were clean (my socks didn't get dirty, it was great), bathroom spotless, bed comfortable, chairs and couch clean and comfy. Enjoyed the gazebo by the Mississippi. We loved it here.
The owners of this property have obviously gone above and beyond most other rentals I have stayed at over the years. The house was spotless and had everything you could possibly imagine needing and more! Spent hours sitting, relaxing and watching the river. Stairs going down to the river appear new and are well lit. Unfortunately it rained several time during my stay but could still enjoy the outdoors via the covered front porch. Incredibly comfortable furniture, bed and the whole house felt like home.
We arrived during a storm and the house was easy to find. The house itself is beautiful and cozy. For a family with toddlers there are a lot of little trinkets we had to move to ensure nothing got broke. The house is very spacious especially with the front room. The fully stocked kitchen was a dream so we didn’t have to pack as much. The view from the backyard is absolutely beautiful. The only thing I wish it had was curtains on the front room windows.
I found this place to go to after losing my mom recently. I have never felt so close to her and to heaven as this. The place was immaculate and very well stocked. It reminds me of home. It was peaceful and the kind of place i want to go back to next year. I absolutely loved my whole time there.
This Farmhouse is my favorite Vrbo stay to date. It was way more than I expected my only regret is we only stayed 3 days. We definitely will come back a stay longer. I caught over 10 catfish in a few hours.
Property is exactly as listed. Wife and i wanted a quiet anniversary weekend away from kids and the city. This place is a Country home with modern touches. From the moment we arrived it felt cozy and welcoming. We loved the farm house feel and sitting out on the back patio. My wife loved cooking in well equipped kitchen. The neighborhood was very quiet and we could hear all the birds and squirrels around the house. We spent a lot of time down by the river fishing. Caught a dozen catfish and other kinds as well. Watching the pelicans and birds fly around was neat. Even seen a beaver! The steps leading down to the river are a little tricky and steep and there were some weeds in the way. But it didnt deter us at all. We would not change a thing. We will be looking to bring our kiddos here to enjoy the simple life. Thank you for a lovely 3 day kiddo free quiet retreat.
The historic farmhouse is beautiful and situated on large welcoming property overlooking the Mississippi River. Kitchen is well appointed and bedrooms roomy. Lots of places to sit and relax both inside and out. Great communications with hosts. Highly recommended!
Such a beautiful home on the river! I love watching birds and this home did not disappoint with a perfect grain gazebo set up for my tripod overlooking the river which gave me the best view of a pair of bald eagles nesting there. So many other beautiful birds, woodpeckers, friendly squirrels and cute raccoons that loved the peanuts I had to offer. A peaceful and tranquil stay. I can’t wait to come back!
My friends and I stayed at the house for working at the Quad City Nuclear Power Plant. The house was a great farm house with plenty of room and close to the plant for us. We would definitely return next year.
This warm, clean and comfortable farmhouse was perfect. I went there for some quiet time and to get some studying and work done. I could not have picked a better place.
It’s right on the Mississippi River and I even saw a bald eagle on my second day there.
Thank you, Steve and Sharon. It was a pleasure staying at your home.
My wife and I stayed at this quiet and peaceful little farmhouse over the weekend. We could not be more happy with the property. The house itself is well maintained and updated. The owners ensure all your needs are met with everything from fresh towels and linens to coffee and everything you might need to prepare and eat a meal. But where this property really exceeded expectations was once we stepped outside. The lot itself is very spacious, private and quiet. The scenery is just gorgeous and with multiple ways to enjoy the Mississippi from the new gazebo to the pathway and stairs down to the beach. My wife and I really enjoyed watching wildlife and activity on the river. I could see myself spending days outside just enjoying nature, the peacefulness, the great scenery and of course the river. Overall, we couldn’t be happier with our stay. Will definitely be back
