Our family really enjoys staying here, so much so that we are yearly renters. Love the big porch & my husband & son love the fishing. Great place to disconnect, relax & spend quality time with the family.
This is our second year staying at this quaint, true Maine cabin. Our favorite part of this cabin is the lake, of course, also the screened in porch. Great fishing, a canoe, paddle board, and a kayak. We hope to rent this again next year for our vacation. Lori is great to work with, her communication is excellent.
Our recent stay in Parsonsfield was everything we had hoped for and more. Nestled in a quiet, scenic corner of Maine, the location offered a perfect mix of natural beauty and comfort. The surroundings were absolutely stunning—tall pines, sparkling water, and birdsong each morning made it feel like we were in a private nature retreat. The amenities were thoughtful and well-planned. From the cozy seating areas to the fully stocked kitchen, every detail seemed carefully considered. We especially appreciated the little extras—plenty of soft blankets, local guidebooks, a fire pit by the lake. It was clear our hosts truly cared about creating a relaxing and welcoming space.Whether we were sipping coffee on the porch, kayaking across the calm water, or just soaking in the peace and quiet, every moment was a reminder of how special this place is. We left feeling refreshed, grateful, and already talking about when we can return. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a restful escape surrounded by natural beauty and genuine hospitality.
We had an amazing time at the cabin on the lake! It was so quiet and peaceful, and really allowed us to relax, unwind, and escape the worries of reality for a few days. We enjoyed the paddleboard and canoe, and our dogs loved swimming! The porch was really the star of the show with an amazing view, nice breeze, and sounds of the loons all hour of the day or night with protection from bugs.
This is a wonderful cabin for those who want an old time rustic camp feeling. We loved the feel of the knotted pine interior, the closeness to the lake, and the absolutely wonderful front porch. the lake was surprisingly warm and great for swimming, and we very much appreciated the canoe etc the owner left for us. We heard loons every night. Communication with the owner was way beyond expectations and we couldn't have asked for any quicker or more responsive communications. We certainly hope to return.
Repeat renters. Beautiful location & very relaxing. If you like to fish, you’re pretty much guaranteed to catch multiple large mouth bass either off the dock or while canoeing around the lake. Love the sounds of the loons & the beautiful sunsets. Nice to disconnect & do “old school” fun things w/ family, card games, playing a board games, doing a puzzle…
Let's face it, it's more about the lake than anything else! We enjoyed our stay very much, especially because we were able to come with our furry family member. The cabin is spacious and has all necessities. The only drawback, there is no sound insulation, so if you have a loud snorer, the whole cabin will hear them. Otherwise, it's great. We had great time as a family.
Great vacation at this Maine rustic lakehouse/cabin.
This was one of our favorite vacations, we have rented lakehouses for years, this is a true Maine Cabin. It is larger than I expected. Pictures do not do this cabin justice. I knew what was expected of us. The instructions were clear, with trash, laundry ect. Neighbors were great, but were not there all week. We felt like we had the pond to our selves. Also caught a ton of fish, we catch & release. We cannot wait to reserve our week for next year!

If you are looking for a rustic, peaceful, private camp, then this is the place for you! We loved every thing about the camp, except for the mice and cleanliness. We had to put our food in the dryer, microwave and car trunk to keep the mice away. No-one took a shower because the shower floor/mat was gross
The pictures do not do the cabin the justice. Plenty of sleeping beds. The space was a lot larger than we anticipated. The kitchen is larger than the pictures showed. We were all really impressed. It’s an older style cabin if you love the rustic nostalgia of a cabin. Which we all did. Spent most of our time on the beautiful pond. Fishing, kayaking ect. Lots of family memories for a lifetime. Thank you. August 2023
We were looking for a great week away and found it for sure. My daughter, 11, loves the water and spent every waking hour in it. Short swims or paddle board rides to the diving board in the middle of the lake were her favorite. She even taught our dog how to swim. . All my son, 7, ever wants to do is fish and he was not disappointed. He caught dozens right from the dock including several huge largemouth bass. My wife loved the opportunity to sleep on the porch with the sound of the rain and the gentle breeze off the water. The kitchen had everything we needed and the washer/dryer was very convenient. We made a couple trips to the ice cream stand down the road and had a great dinner at the Haven. My son and I also got a round of golf in just down the road. We had great weather apart from a couple brief thunderstorms. My kids did not miss their screens at all and were a bit puzzled by the VCR, having never seen one. we enjoyed a couple movies on it before bed, plus card games and board games. Overall, it was a great week, the water is so clean and everyone on the lake was very friendly. Highly recommended!
This is a really lovely, rustic lake cabin. It takes me back to my childhood summers in the 1950’s. It’s not fancy or modern, but if you’re looking for a traditional lake house, it’s perfect. The kayaks and canoe are a real bonus, as is the sleep in porch.
My family and I stayed at Lori’s camp for my Dad’s 60th birthday in September and had the most amazing time. It was incredibly relaxing and exactly as described on VRBO. We went mountain biking with Backcountry Excursions right down the road, went kayaking and canoeing, fishing, and went for a beautiful hike right down the road! Can’t wait to go back again!
We enjoyed sleeping on the huge porch. The camp is close to the Kancamagus Highway scenic drive (the Kanc) which was beautiful. Lots to do nearby, blueberry picking was great.
Exactly what I was hoping for, really lucked out on getting this property on labor day for a little relaxation. It was raining when we arrived but no worries at all, we enjoyed the fireplace and the porch was dry and inviting. Love the character and spaciousness of the camp, community was very friendly (and dog friendly). Really appreciated the thoroughness of instructions throughout and the camp was very well equipped. We especially enjoyed using the canoe and paddle-board to explore the lake with our dog. Thank you Lori!
We very much enjoyed our time here. Great view of a quite lake.

My parents built this camp as our summer retreat from Long Island NY where I grew up. Since I live in beautiful NH now, even though I am closer, it seems we just don't use it as much as we should. We want to be able to keep it up and that is why we are renting it. My hope is that people will enjoy it as much as we do, as a peaceful, fun, unplugged break from our busy lives.
Why they chose this property
This is my family's camp. I grew up spending summers here as did my own kids. So many friends have enjoyed it and we thought it would be appreciated by others if we rented it. It is and ideal location for families, or anyone who just wants to take a break and enjoy the lake, swimming, fishing, kayaking, and listening to the loons as you fall asleep.
What makes this property unique
This is the opposite of going to crowded resort. Private lakefront, a bit of woods between our camp and the neighbors, the sound of loons, families on their docks, and screen doors. Plenty of options for day trips when people get antsy, then come back, have a fire, make s'mores and then fall asleep on the porch. All good.
