About this property

Located on Historic Lake Avenue

Valhalla awaits! This late 1800’s home is one of the finest Lake Sunapee has to offer. It is large enough to accommodate the whole family and groups of friends, while also being as charming as it gets! The interior space features 6 comfortable bedrooms, all either with a lake view, or open air options to soak up the sunrise and morning summer breeze. There is an additional "bedroom" detached from the house which also contains two sets of twin bunk beds. The home also contains 4 bathrooms (1 full and 3 half - meaning only 1 shower), 2 living rooms with fireplaces, a round table dining area, and a sizable kitchen to host everyone’s favorite dishes! The exterior features multiple seating areas, a fire pit, children’s play area, kayak launching platform, private dock, views of the Loon Island Lighthouse, and what may be the most beautiful open air dining area on the lake. The options to become immersed in the crystal clear waters of the lake are endless at Valhalla. While the home itself is nothing short of spectacular, the location also could not be better. Located on the famous Lake Ave, historic Sunapee Harbor is just a few minutes walk down the road. Here you will find everything you need to make your quintessential New Hampshire experience one to remember for the rest of your life. Don’t hesitate to reach out and book your stay at Valhalla today!

As you enter the home through the main door, you are greeted by the historic charm of this custom lake property. To the left, a round table dining area with a fireplace, and to the right, the elegant chef's kitchen with lake views all around. Working your way back into the hallway, there is a small living room featuring a television and toys for the children. Across from that, another larger sized living room with a leather wrap around couch, reclining chairs, and another fireplace. Both living rooms feature "antique" lighting which illuminates the classic feel of this home. The main level of the home also features a guest bathroom with craftsman touches. Making your way upstairs there are two private king bedrooms on the lefthand side, and a guest bathroom. Straight ahead is another cozy bedroom with a queen, and twin bed. Attached to this bedroom is an open air queen bedroom, allowing you to soak up the lake even while you are asleep. Through the hallway you will find the master king bedroom with it's own private half bathroom. This room also features it's own private balcony with French windows and doors that open completely up to view the night sky, or to wake up to the sound of the loons swimming around the famous Loon Island Lighthouse. The next bedroom down the hall is perfect for the children with a twin over twin bunk, twin over double bunk and additional pullout trundle bed. At the end of the hall lies the main bathroom of the home complete with walk in shower, and washer and dryer. Moving out to the exterior of the home is where this properties true beauty sets in. The back porch contains what may be the most exquisite open air dining area on Lake Sunapee. Down the stairs to the right is a perfect swimming area, and to the left is a private dock that is perfect for launching kayaks. On the side of the home is a children's play area, and also a one of a kind sleeping area that contains 2 twin over twin bunk beds. Similar to in the home, this sleeping area is open air, so children and adults alike who love to camp will be in heaven!
