About this property
Relax with Family at this Historic Lakefront Cottage with Long Deep Water Dock
Enjoy wonderful summertime moments and make everlasting memories with loved ones, family and friends at this charming historic cottage built in the 1890’s.
Relax at one of the most beautiful locations on Lake Sunapee, with long open 180 degree views of the pristine lake, rolling tree covered hillsides, Mount Sunapee, and the Fells Estate, an 83 acre nature preserve with undeveloped shoreline.
Jump off the end of the deep-water dock and swim, play or float in the crystal clear waters and private swimming area with a clean rocky bottom. Paddleboard, kayak, canoe, fish or sail, all that lake life has to offer. With easy access cleats and docking to secure even the largest pontoon boat.
From the moment you walk out on the screened porch soak in all the beauty this lovely lakefront location has to offer. Sip your morning coffee on the private shore side deck while you watch the spectacular sunrise or gather with friends for evening cocktails and conversation as the sun sets and the skies turn pink reflecting in the calm water, linger later and listen to the loons call across the moon lit nights. Read a book or take a nap in the lake view hammock, or soak in the summer sun from morning ‘til night with southern exposure.
The cottage itself is characteristic of days gone by with warm natural wood and cozy atmosphere complimented by an updated kitchen, full bathroom, laundry room and first floor master bedroom. Share meals or play games at the large farmers table, built by a local Sunapee school teacher, that comfortably seats eight, or sit around the granite fireplace with gas insert, to watch movies and spend time together in a way that is so rare in todays busy world.
Upstairs on the second floor you’ll find 3 quaint bedrooms. The first nestled in the trees with a full sized bed, across the hall from the large half bathroom. Then down the hall, two other lake front bedrooms, one with two twin beds, the other with another full bed, both offering incredible lake views of silvery night sky and sparkling sun reflecting on the water. Finally, on the third floor, there is a large 5th bedroom loft with two twin beds and a spectacular expansive view.
Available weeks are limited due to families that love this beautiful place and return year after year. Please come and make this a tradition of your own.
