Great location on the Pond with a dock and free use of canoe's and kayaks. The Pond is clean and great for swimming. They had a grill available for use with plenty of utensils and propane. Overall my friends and I had a great stay here.
We stayed with our friends and our 11 year old kids at this house for two days before the camp drop off. It was a wonderful short get away with beach, kayaking, and lake Sunapee nearby.
We had an excellent weekend in this well stocked, clean, cozy house. Just 15 minutes from the slopes, and perfect for our three young kids with bunk beds, games, and a great layout. The owner checked in with us frequently to make sure we had what we needed.
Nice to be away from hustle and bustle. Love the tennis courts and private beach within walking distance. House is plenty big to spread out. Nice to be able to launch kayaks and canoe right from the front of the house.
We stayed with our 2 children and another family of 4. The space was perfect. The kids had the entire first floor to themselves and adult bedrooms and bathrooms felt private. It was clean and the fireplace was a cozy end after a day of skiing. We were close to Sunapee and would love to go back in the summer to experience the lake.
We enjoyed our short stay in the cabin. Check in was easy and the cabin was prepared for us when we arrived. Any questions we had during our stay were answered quickly, but there were not many as the house is user friendly.
The location is beautiful and very private. But you are only a short drive from a few small towns and anything that you might need.
We hope to return again later this year.
Great long weekend getaway to chalk pond. House was nice, good set up with 2 on suites upstairs and kids room downstairs. Pond was very clean and quiet, lots of kayak options and a canoe to use, all very clean. Nice shared beach across the pond, easy canoe over. As others mentioned if you have issues with stairs this might not be the house for you. We would stay again.
We had a great week on Chalk Pond. It was my self, my husband and our four children (age range of 14 to 20 ). There was plenty of space for all of us and we enjoyed the kayaks. At night, and on the rainy days, we made use of the board games provided. I would recommend the Flying Goose Restaurant and renting a pontoon on Lake Sunapee from Goodhue Boat Rentals.
House was very comfortable and cozy. Kitchen was well appointed and clean. Property manager was very responsive to our needs and any issues that arose. The stairs getting into the house are steep and would not advise for anyone who is not strong and steady on their feet. Lots of stairs throughout the house so again, not for anyone who can’t easily climb stairs. The pond is small but sweet and so quiet for kayaking or canoeing. We had lots of rain making the area around the dock messy and muddy and there is no place to really sit and hang out at the waters edge but house has lovely porches and rockers to sit out on.
House was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals. Access to the pond was easy and we enjoyed using the kayaks. Easy walk around the pond was fun!
1st rental that offered well equipped kitchen . Roomy for our family. TVs didn't offer as much as we would have liked since we had little ones who have a specific bed routine e that included certain shows. Cable non existent. Stairs on property to get to house. We had a busy & wonderful week.
