In the winter, the snow piles on and provides a natural sledding hill. The best around!
Coveted location is 12 minutes from the ski mountain, and under five minutes to Lake Sunapee and Perkins Pond. Under a moonlit sky, watch the stars from the deck. Only 90 minutes from Boston.
Kitchen is fully stocked. In addition to amenities listed, kitchen has small food processor, a French press and a crock pot. Newly expanded deck (as of Nov 2018) has a Weber gas grill.
Wifi and 40" UHD 4K LED smart TV with Bose soundbar. Stream from your favorite apps. Guest Netflix available.
Upper level has a queen- and twin-sized bed; lower level has twin-sized bed, full-sized bunk beds and a queen-sized bed. The upper level bedroom with a twin has no door.
Please note: ***This house is NOT suitable for college or after-prom parties. NO SMOKING policy is strictly enforced.***The front door has a video doorbell.
Attached garage lets you keep your car and other gear out of the elements. The driveway also has parking for two cars. Road and driveway are plowed in time for you to get to the slopes.
The house is minutes from Mt. Sunapee, and an hour's drive to Okemo, VT. Get the Epic Pass and ski both mountains, plus Stowe (1 hour 50 minutes drive).
In winter months, a front-wheel drive vehicle with snow tires is a must. Sunapee has some steep hills, and when it snows, you need wheels with good traction.

About the host
Hosted by Sheryl Rich-Kern
I’m a freelance journalist, adjunct professor and vacation host maven. In my leisure hours, I like to paint furniture, cook and entertain, photograph landscapes and cityscapes, read books with good character development, and pursue outdoor activities. I discovered Sunapee, NH in the late 90s for its hiking and ski trails, as well as the famous League of NH Crafts Fair. Sunapee is not far from Greater Boston, but a world apart in culture. For one thing, there are no mega-resorts trampling its quiet beauty. But it’s not so tranquil that if your car gets stuck in a snow bank, you feel alone. Because wouldn’t you know it: a local with a pickup truck and chains is likely to drive by and pull you out of dire straits.
Why they chose this property
I bought this home in the early 2000s. Its presence sets the stage for either a quiet respite or a spirited get-together with family and friends. Now I enjoy sharing it with others so they can create their own version of bliss. I use it solely as a vacation rental property. In the off seasons, family members go up for an occasional weekend, but do not leave any personal belongings there.
What makes this property unique
In a quiet and private residential neighborhood. Spacious living area and well-stocked kitchen. Large windows with southern exposure. Gorgeous mountain views. Spectacular foliage. Rooms decorated with hand-painted furniture. Loads and loads of closets. Ski storage in garage.
My home invites visitors from all ethnicities, religions, sexual orientations and gender identities. I hope you will find a welcoming spirit here.
