The very updated cabin was excellent, everything it was advertised as. Quiet and absolutely in the wilderness. The grill was great for all meals. The cabin did not have any silverware or plates, easily taken care of at dollar store. We left them there for other travelers who rent the cabin. My husband and I will definitely rent again

House was as shown in pictures. Nice place. There was a dead mouse and some mouse poo on the counter but it's in the woods so what do you expect. Nice surprise with the outdoor patio. Really made the whole trip awesome. Firewood was included, we just had to gather it so I'd call that a win. The lake is awesome. We would have used the boats if it wasn't raining, but they are included and they have life jackets out as well. Someone got stuck before us so we couldnt drive all the way down to the landing. The walk wasnt bad and one side has steps built into the hill. There is no wifi and little cell service, at least with Verizon. Overall would happily stay here again.

What makes this property unique
The property and house was originally part of the Lost Lake Scout Reservation from 1964-2012. Prior to the Boy Scouts' ownership it belonged to Harry Bennett. Bennett was the head of Henry Ford's 'service department' and he built a cement log lodge on the lake. The lodge still remains, but is in disrepair as mother nature has taken it over.
