Nestled in historic Jim Thorpe, this cozy space offers a perfect retreat. With 2 bedrooms, a full kitchen, and an inviting enclosed porch, it's a haven for relaxation. The rustic charm extends outdoors to a firepit, where stories come alive under the starlit sky. Immerse yourself in the quaint surroundings, from the charming town to the scenic landscapes. Whether you're seeking adventure or tranquility, this gem on Quail Dr promises a delightful escape.
There's space to bring your kids, a couple of friends or a nice romantic private getaway. Bring your creative cooking skills and enjoy the full kitchen, or bring some of your favorite foods to throw on the gas grill! Guests have access to the washer and dryer in the home free of charge.
While this is considered the "In-law suite" for the home, the owners are rarely at the other side. You can rest assured knowing the two units are locked from each other and separated by a garage.
The property offers some great forest sights and provides you with wonderful seclusion. You won't be too far from civilization while also escaping the hustle and bustle of today's life.
Upon arrival, you can expect fresh linens on the beds and towels are provided along with a complementary starter kit, including a few dishwasher pods, laundry pods, dish soap, hand soap, a few trash bags and hotel style shampoo, conditioner and body lotion.
Please note: There is a $135 cleaning fee. This goes to the cleaners and ensures they receive a living wage. We look forward to your stay!
Please let me know if you have any questions prior to your travel and during your stay. The property is back a dirt road that’s a little bumpy. Enjoy the camp fire pit, if you would like to pick up marshmallow skewers and firewood.
A few tidbits on some exciting things to do during your visit.
There are so many things to see and do in Jim Thorpe! One of my favorite small towns in the US! The train ride is beautiful! And also don’t forget to visit the Asa Packer Mansion, Mauch Chunk Opera House, Wild Elder Wine & Cider Co, The Old Jail Museum, Muggle’s Mug - the Harry Potter Cafe for a great cup of coffee or butter beer. There are so many amazing little shops and specialty stores to explore. Don’t forget to check out Kemmerer Memorial Park located on the wooded hillside overlooking the Lehigh River and historic downtown Jim Thorpe, Kemmerer Memorial Park is the town’s hidden gem. Also, there’s Penn’s Peak which has entertainment and a nice bar and restaurant. There are so many things to see and do you’re going to love it!
The property will be to the right side when you pull up into the driveway.
Cheers, Debra

Place was very nice and tucked away from the hustle and bustle of downtown. Was great to relax and get away for a long weekend. Property had everything we needed and was very spacious.

We loved the fenced in yard! The house is cute and had everything we needed!
This place the perfect spot for my husband, myself, and our friends to stay for a weekend trip. We were close enough to Jim Thorpe and other attractions yet tucked away in the privacy of the woods. The homeowners were easily accessible if needed and friendly. The home was clean and the big kitchen was a huge plus for us that like to cook!
needed and friendly.

Thank you so much for your kind words! We are so glad that your day was perfect! We hope you book with us again!
Nice, secluded, clean. Lillian was very responsive and helpful with questions and going over the check-in details.
About 30 minutes to Blue Mountain and 15 minutes to Jim Thorpe (local shops & restaurants).

Check in was easy, location was nice but the building is more of a condo than a separate home as suggested. The location was very quiet and relaxing. Hot water did not work in the Master shower, the bath towels were torn and ragged. The refrigerator had someone else’s food in it and there was leftover danish on the coffee pot. Certainly was not what I would have expected as a rental.
It was clean and location was neat. Didn't see need for cleaning fee but maybe not everyone is a considerate as we are. Couldn't fold out couch and ceiling fan needs to be fixed. Area is gorgeous

Positives: Very quiet and peaceful. Close to Jim Thorpe and area activities. Lot of room in house- very private. Easy check-in and appreciated from owner early access.
Cons- it lacks the things expected at a VRBO rental- needs more attention to details- no coffee supplied, dirty coffee pot not cleaned from previous renters, light bulbs were burnt out and owner did not rectify.. No kettle although listed in amenities. Very little cleaning productsd like dish soap.
We like this property but it needs more careful preparation before renters arrive.

I booked this property for a weekend fall fest in Jim Thorpe. Check-in was scheduled for 4 p, and I reached out around 2p because I hadn’t received any details about the check-in process. We weren’t planning to arrive until around 6:15p, and the property was over two hours away. Unfortunately, the host never responded to any of my messages. While we were already en route, I contacted VRBO for help and was informed that the host had double-booked the property through another booking site. As a result, my wife, our 3 y.o. daughter, and I were left scrambling to find alternate accommodations at the last minute, after we had already traveled most of the way. Although the host did apologize and issue a refund, the situation caused significant stress and completely disrupted our plans. The lack of communication and failure to notify us in advance is unacceptable. I also noticed the host has a 16% cancellation rate, which likely points to repeated double-booking issues.
