Thank you Michael for sharing your perspective. I do value your view. I’d like to share another perspective in efforts to give you insight into the care that went into preparing for your vacation and for future guests. This a small family owned business, just starting out this year. Our goal is to keep our home in excellent condition, inside and out, with high quality service. We offer friendly and affordable hospitality (cheaper than a nightly hotel rate here in CG). So far our goal has been met. As to your #1. You said the backyard looks like it has been neglected… The reality is we had a pipe brake and new irrigation system put in before your arrival. The landscapers completely unearthed the rocks and landscape leaving the ground unleveled. Because we care for our property we had these issues fixed. The final touches were paused so that we wouldn’t cancel your reservation because they did not finish the job in time. We value our guests vacations, and do our best not to cancel on you or others when it’s not a problem in the house. Since then the landscape has been completed.. 2. The towel racks are not missing, yet intentionally left off to allow for a more simple decor. As as alternative, we left towels for you on the sink and plenty of paper towels to use as an alternative to dry your hands. 3. The extra garbage bags are not in the trash can itself. We keep the trash can clear and visible to check for cleanliness. We keep the extra trash bags under the kitchen sink (one per night of stay) along with all extra cleaning supplies. 4. The pool is not heated as stated in the listing. This should not have been a surprise. However, when we do get a heater for the pool, the price per night will not be as low as it is now since it is costly to heat pools. So enjoy this rate while you can 🤗 It would have been nice if any of these issues “bothered” you during your stay, you would have given us the opportunity to correct it during your stay. We would have happily credited you something for not being able to use the pool, but we were not informed. I thank you for your honesty. It’s nice to know despite your critiques, you would come again and that you absolutely recommend us. That’s helpful. We will grow from this experience and for that we are grateful. Thanks again.
