Great place to stay

The house was very comfortable and in a great location. It was just outside of town and the drive in and out of Seattle was very easy when we went in to the city. We would love to stay here again if we came back to the area.

Spring Break Family Getaway

We enjoyed the proximity to the big city and all of its attractions, but we also enjoyed being on the outskirts of the busyness. The home and its surroundings are quiet and beautiful!

Family vacation

We loved this little house which was close to family. It was well stocked and very clean. It could use a little more seating in the living area. I’m also glad we found it in the daylight. Would have been tricky at night. We would definitely stay there again.

Good stay

My family of 5 was fairly comfy here. The backyard is great but needs a grill. Also, needs hair dryer.

Great Lake House Retreat

Lake house was super clean, had very comfortable beds and awesome lake amenities! Literally, the only thing that I would possibly change is a cozier couch (the couch is very modern and looks great - just not comfortable), a couple more patio chairs (there were only 2) and an old fashioned coffee maker (we’re old school so the espresso machine and keurig were fine just not our norm). Do not take this as a ridicule because this place is fantastic! Great view, access to the lake and everything you need to enjoy your lake retreat.

Beautiful setting but not ready for guests

The setting has real appeal. The property is beautifully wooded, the pond was a highlight for the kids and great for exploring, and there was plenty of convenient parking. We spotted loads of birds and the trees were stunning. Worth noting it isn't quite as secluded as advertised since you can hear the highway, but the natural surroundings are still lovely. The kitchen was clean and modern, well-stocked with supplies, though missing pantry basics like cooking oil. The beds were very comfortable and the linens were clean and presented beautifully. Arrival was a rough start. The door code provided only worked for one lock. A second lock had no code sent to us, and it took over 30 minutes and a support call to get inside. It felt like our booking had caught someone off guard. The house was freezing with no heating left on, and it took some trial and error to figure out which thermostats controlled which zones. One shower had no hot water, though the others were fine. The deal-breaker was the smell. A strong musty chemical odour, possibly moth balls, filled the entire house. Opening windows helped only marginally, and one guest had a persistent headache throughout the stay. At this price point, that is simply not acceptable. The owners should address the smell, confirm all access codes ahead of check-in, and ensure heating is on for arriving guests. Genuine potential here, but I can't recommend it until those issues are resolved.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're pleased to hear that you enjoyed the natural setting, wildlife, pond, comfortable beds, and well-equipped kitchen. We sincerely apologize for the challenges you experienced upon arrival. The delay in accessing the property due to incomplete lock information is not the experience we want for our guests, and we understand how frustrating it must have been after a day of travel. We have reviewed our access procedures to help ensure all entry information is communicated clearly before check-in. We also appreciate you bringing the heating, hot water, and odor concerns to our attention. Our local team has been notified and is investigating these items to ensure they are properly addressed for future guests. Guest comfort is extremely important to us, and we regret that these issues impacted your stay. We appreciate your detailed feedback, as it helps us improve both the property and the guest experience. Thank you again for staying with us, and we wish you all the best in your future travels.
